- Blade Agitation Structure & Flow Adjustment Port: Designed to solve clogging and uneven spreading of slab-shaped or flocculent organic fertilizers (e.g., compost, peat moss), this spreader features a blade mixing mechanism inside the hopper. As it moves, the blades stir the material for smooth distribution without crushing it. The flow adjustment port below allows real-time control based on spreading rate and material consistency.
- Adjustable fertilizer spread area: The drum is connected to the tires via gear chains. As the wheels turn, they drive the drum's rotation. To switch the spreading area, simply press down lightly on the handle to lift the drum wheel off the ground. Using the two fixed wheels at the back, you can then push it forward, stopping the fertilizer application, allowing for area transition.
- Lawn Drop Spreader & Garden Tool Cart: Features a metal pallet inside the hopper for convenient placement of bulky organic fertilizer bags, streamlining the process. The design also transports gardening tools easily. Notes, bags can be hung on either side of the hopper, suspending them on the front or rear baffles is not advisable. The load capacity should not over 120 LBS. This feature significantly cuts down on manual labor, saving both time and energy.

I would prefer to give no stars I bought this under the impression that it could spread grass seed, fertilizer, and Peat Moss. It does not work unless you buy a pellet style fertilizer so good luck with that, grass seed runs right through it and today trying to do Peat Moss it did not work at all as far as spreading it evenly. This is absolutely one of my worst purchases I ever made and it’s very expensive. It’s advertised to do certain jobs that it cannot. I wish I never bought it and I’m hoping this review will help people from making the mistake of buying it and wasting their money and time.

Just buy a barrel style spreader instead. Keys issues 1. If you’re 5’6” like me then pushing this spreader will be almost impossible due to the length of the handle bars. I had to pull it to make it work. They need to make them with adjustable height handles. 2. It does not spread as evenly as some of the video reviews. One side would always run empty before the other and I had to go back over my yard and rake piles even. 3. If your yard is even a little unlevel you’re going to have a really hard time maneuvering this. 4. Value for the money - I used this to spread top soil and compost over my small 500sq ft yard and had a very difficult time. I’ve rented barrel style spreaders in the past and wish I had stuck to that method. This isn’t worth the price. I will say assembly instructions were simple to understand and follow

Pros - Very large hopper, easy to load. Well built, rugged. Affordable. Easy to use once you figure out the best way to spread the material on the area you're covering. Sometimes covering smaller sections is better than longer strips. Cons - Challenging to push up slopes or through thick grass (when full) due to small plastic wheels, pneumatic or thick rubber wheels would work better. Highly recommended.

It took me hours to assemble. Very difficult to push when filled with soil and compost. I bought it because I thought the negative reviews were people who were expecting to use it for seeding, not compost spreading. Basically unusable for me, and I must be doing something wrong, because I can't use it, and I don't understand all the positive reviews whose experience is the opposite of mine. The handle is at the wrong angle for pushing something so difficult. The tendency is to go over the top. I can't expend the time to disassemble it, so I now have a white elephant. If anyone wants a used (once) one, I've got one for you.

Unless you want equipment to spread peat moss, mulch, compost or other bulky fibrous material don’t buy this. Calling this a “lawn drop spreader” is highly inaccurate. At the bottom of the hopper is a round rotating expanded metal screen with 1/2” openings and no way to control the rate of discharge for granular material like lawn fertilizer or grass seed. This was probably designed by someone who had no idea what a lawn drop spreader was or used for.
