Features

  • Blade Agitation Structure & Flow Adjustment Port: Designed to solve clogging and uneven spreading of slab-shaped or flocculent organic fertilizers (e.g., compost, peat moss), this spreader features a blade mixing mechanism inside the hopper. As it moves, the blades stir the material for smooth distribution without crushing it. The flow adjustment port below allows real-time control based on spreading rate and material consistency.
  • Adjustable fertilizer spread area: The drum is connected to the tires via gear chains. As the wheels turn, they drive the drum's rotation. To switch the spreading area, simply press down lightly on the handle to lift the drum wheel off the ground. Using the two fixed wheels at the back, you can then push it forward, stopping the fertilizer application, allowing for area transition.
  • Lawn Drop Spreader & Garden Tool Cart: Features a metal pallet inside the hopper for convenient placement of bulky organic fertilizer bags, streamlining the process. The design also transports gardening tools easily. Notes, bags can be hung on either side of the hopper, suspending them on the front or rear baffles is not advisable. The load capacity should not over 120 LBS. This feature significantly cuts down on manual labor, saving both time and energy.
  • Pre-installed & all-metal: our lawn drop spreader made from high quality iron materials and pre-installed. Enhanced with a specialized surface treatment, it boasts a protective coating that guards against rust. This not only preserves its pristine appearance but also significantly prolongs its service life. All components are detachable parts, making maintenance convenient. Such meticulous design choices underscore our commitment to offering long-lasting, high-quality products to our customers.

  • Easy to Operate
The media could not be loaded. I make my own compost for use on my family’s farm, so when I saw this spreader, I knew that it was meant for me (see photo). I have a tumbler composter in my garden next to my house, and if I let the compost get too dry, it is a miserable task spreading it. This spreader solves that problem. The spreader came almost entirely assembled except for the walls and the handle. I had my son help me, and I would recommend that, given the spreader’s size, this be assembled by two people working together. This compost spreader comes with really sharp blades that are pre-attached to the frame, so I absolutely love the fact that a plate with two handles came with the spreader that covers them when I’m not using the spreader (see video). This ensures that neither people nor wildlife comes into inadvertent contact with the blades. The sharp blades are perfect for grinding up my compost. I was amazed at how easily this spreader works. If you lean the spreader back and walk, then the sifter drum won’t operate, letting me take the compost anywhere without spilling it (see video). The sifter drum is perfect for compost, but don’t be tempted (like me) to use finer materials for spreading. Because we have so many ticks, I actually tried putting Diatomaceous Earth in the spreader. Needless to say, I ended up with a small patch of ground with an extremely heavy coating. In short, fine powders do **not** work effectively in this spreader. To date, I’ve found that this compost spreader is one of the easiest pieces of equipment that I’ve operated yet. The spreader itself is heavy, but when I walked with it along the ground, I was able to do it effortlessly. As a result, this spreader is going to be great for people who have back pain or can’t bend down to spread compost or other products. This is a really heavy duty piece of equipment that gardeners and farmers can’t be without. Everything that I needed was included: the pre-assembled base, the additional parts, screws, and excellent instructions that were easy to understand. I absolutely recommend this product and I’ll be using it regularly on my farm. ... show more

  • Not for granular fertilizer or seed
Unless you want equipment to spread peat moss, mulch, compost or other bulky fibrous material don’t buy this. Calling this a “lawn drop spreader” is highly inaccurate. At the bottom of the hopper is a round rotating expanded metal screen with 1/2” openings and no way to control the rate of discharge for granular material like lawn fertilizer or grass seed. This was probably designed by someone who had no idea what a lawn drop spreader was or used for. ... show more

  • Great for large areas
I have four acres that I seed in certain seasons. I have a smaller spreader that takes more time as I need to fill it more often. This spreader is HUGE. It is made for larger areas. Assembly was easy enough, follw directions and it comes together fine. It is super heavy duty and sturdy. I use centipede grass seed in it to seed about 2 acres of yard. Loading is easy and I did not have much trouble pushing the spereader at all. It is large and if you do not have flat land it can be more difficult to maneuver. Functions as advertised, it spread the seed pretty well, it does truly just drop the seed to the ground and does not "spary" it outward like most spreaders. ... show more

  • Helps reduce workload and time spent spreading compost.
Very easy and quick to assemble. Well designed and made. Large capacity doesn't require constant refills. Allows for easy and smooth spreading of compost or soil. Is easy to operate and maneuver.

  • DO NOT BUY
I would prefer to give no stars I bought this under the impression that it could spread grass seed, fertilizer, and Peat Moss. It does not work unless you buy a pellet style fertilizer so good luck with that, grass seed runs right through it and today trying to do Peat Moss it did not work at all as far as spreading it evenly. This is absolutely one of my worst purchases I ever made and it’s very expensive. It’s advertised to do certain jobs that it cannot. I wish I never bought it and I’m hoping this review will help people from making the mistake of buying it and wasting their money and time. ... show more

  • Decent Lawn Spreader, But a Bit Pricey
This little spreader works as advertised; I used it to spread some compost in my tiny backyard garden. The adjustable settings are helpful, and the metal basket seems pretty sturdy. It's a bit pricey for what it is, though. Overall, it's a good tool for smaller spaces like mine, but a bigger yard might require something more heavy-duty. ... show more

  • Heavy duty spreader that will last many years of applying fertilizer quickly.
This unit is mostly made out of metal that has been painted for protection. This spreader was a lot heavier than expected. My previous one was made out of plastic and was beaten up by the sun, and was cracking. This can be left outside in the elements without getting damaged. The hopper has a super large capacity that is 3 times larger than my old one. I was having to refill a few times to do my whole lawn with the old one. This one you just fill up and finish the job. The handle is wide and comfortable. It is easy to push with the oversized wheels even on bumpy lawns. You can control the spread rate to your liking. Will use this later to spread mulch. This worked like a charm for weed and feed. ... show more

  • Impossible To Push Efficiently
I ordered this drop spreader for my yards that needed topsoil and fertilizer. This thing is a nightmare to use. Assembly took roughly an hour. When assembled, the handles sit at such a weird angle that my back and arms hurt after just two minutes. Even empty, it's hard to push across grass, but once I added dirt, it became almost impossible. My best effort got me about 4 feet of dirt spread unevenly. The dirt gets stuck inside no matter how much the blades supposedly "mix" it. I ended up with big clumps in some spots and nothing in others. I wasted hours on a Saturday trying to make this work before giving up and going back to spreading by hand. Save your money and time - this spreader looks good in pictures but fails completely. I really, really wanted this to work. ... show more
