Description

Limnophila Belem is beautiful plant native to Asia. The leaves are paired and narrow, with tiny serrated looking edges. When grown under ideal conditions, such as high light and with CO2, striking purples and pinks will develop on the leaves, especially at the growing tips. Due to its vertical growing pattern and color, we recommend placing Limnophila Belem in the background or midground of a scape. Its drastic pop of color will intensify any scape. Limnophila Belem can be grown in both submerged and emersed conditions, although a transition period will be required. To keep Limnophila Belem nice and compact, regular trimming will need to be performed. There trimmings can then be replanted as a form of propagation.

I really want to support vendors who deal in live aquatic plants- desperately needed in the hobby. Received my order today for this plant. Looked healthy prior to opening. However, after which before planting, there was so little root base that the plant separated as if cut flowers. I have planted it but don’t have much hope. If the vendor is reading this, I don’t want a refund. However, if you could send a replacement with a better more established root base, we would appreciate it. ... show more

Plant was healthy when it arrived, but it had no roots. It is taking a lot of effort to keep it planted while it grows as it wants to float to float to the surface when disrupted by my Beta fish. I ordered this plant twice and both times it died and left a huge mess in my tank and filtration system. It was not cheap and having to clean up my tank and filtration system repeatedly, as the plant was shutting leaves until it was nothing, was highly annoying and time consuming. I later learned from a local fish store that when buying plants online you need to know how hard your local water is, and the water hardness of the place where your plants are being sold from. Apparently, if you put a plant that was raised in softer or neutral water into hard water it will cause damage to the plant. Some plants that are more sensitive to this will not make it, and they will die. I am guessing because they looked healthy when I put them in that it is because of this that the plants did not make it. However, this kind of information and knowledge should be clearly displayed with your products if you are selling aquatic plants, so that customers could be informed and knowledgeable about what choices they make. I gave this product to stars because it did come healthy, but there was no information displayed anywhere, explaining what water hardness can do to this product. ... show more

I am super happy with my purchase so happy that I just purchased two more. Each bundle has nine stocks in it each plant is very healthy and approximately 2 1/2 or 3 inches tall there are small roots on each as well healthy and vibrant the pictures don’t do it justice.

It came nicely packed with a heat back, which is good because it has been cold here! Nice full and leafy, beautiful colors! I already ordered two more for my other tank! PS. They have since both died, just melted away! I planted these in the substrate. the first one I bought is fine and I just dropped it in my betta tank on the bare bottom.? I don't know, maybe they weren't supposed to be planted?? The last picture is the the last of the two sticks left! The seller offered to replace them if I sent a picture but you can't really see what little is left. Sigh...and they were so pretty. ... show more
