This heater works well. I have it in a 20-gallon community plant with live plants, guppies, betta, cory catfish, and some shrimp. It's a great looking heater and it works like it should. It's also nice that you can set the temps manually as most are auto-set to a certain temp.

I have a betta tank with a pre set heater. My betta was failing, the heater was only heating to 73°. I put this heater in last night, within a couple of hours the water was up to 78°. He is much better already. The heater is small enough for almost any tank, suction cups are strong, with a couple of extra ones in the box. The cord between the unit and the awesome digital control is more than adequate, as is the cord going to the plug. I feel better having the control instead of a pre set. The digital display is great. Can't beat this heater.

Overall, this is a pretty good tank heater. It suctions to the tank wall easily and has not come off at all since I put it on. It is very easy to adjust the temperature, but the temperature is not super accurate. It has been consistently 3 degrees off. Other than that, it has kept a consistent temperature without fluctuating, which is a much more important aspect than the degrees being a bit off, in my opinion.

I was wary of this one because of the low number of reviews and the fact that the reviews that are here all got the item for free, but this is a legitimately good tank heater. I bought this one to replace a Pets Mart brand heater that stayed 6 degrees above target regularly. This one stays perfect almost to the degree confirmed with 2 different thermometers. Really impressive. Plus my betta likes sleeping on it, so it must be a very steady, consistent heat.
