The Long Version Bought these so I could easily collect recycling on a week-long camper trip with a total of 7 family members (including me), then toss the bags directly into my municipal recycling wheelie bin when we returned. They were great for the first couple of days when only two of us were in the camper, but once we were all there they filled up pretty quickly. No reason to knock them down a start, though; I be just underestimated how much we'd recycle as a group!     • Not as sturdy as promised.
I was surprised to find how thin these bags were--nowhere near the strength bag I get from my two local grocery stores. If I double them up they serve my purpose, which is to corral my papers, catalogs and magazines to take to the recycling bins. When researching paper bags on Amazon, these seemed to be the strongest available. Unsure where to look next. ... show more

It seems counter-intuitive that I should have to buy paper bags to get rid of shredded paper, but I am a dedicated shredder and never have enough brown paper bags on hand from grocery stores to get rid of the shreds. These are perfect - just the right size for the shredder bucket to empty into and sturdy enough also. With more & more states banning grocery bags (which we used to reuse use for trash bags), we had to find a substitute liner for our small recycle bins. These are nice and thick, reasonably priced, and worked great.

These bags are not as heavy as I would expect. I guess I need to look further for possibly 64 lb. paper bags. I use these for trash as I cannot locate a trash can that will fit below my kitchen sink. I am in a very small galley kitchen. I have decided to double the bags for now.

Changing from carpeting to hardwood floors, I could no longer have my toddler drinking out of glass. These cups are a perfect solution. I love drinking out of them, my toddler can hold it securely with both hands, and I love that they are good quality and not breakable if toddler drops them. If you are transitioning away from plastic cups, I highly recommend these, as well as glass straws from glassdharma.com, or high quality stainless steel straws.
