It's time to write a review. We live in the northeast so humidity during most of the year is not as issue. After two years of keeping our large bedroom and attached room humidified during winter months, I can attest to the units reliability and operation. Not sure if the humidity readings are exact, but the equipment runs when the humidity drops below the setting and stops running when the humidity setting is reached. We have forced hot air heat in our home, so the super fine mist, (warm or cool - depending on the setting), helps with breathing while we sleep, keeps my acoustic guitars properly humidified and was well worth the cost. Will buy another for a downstairs room with a gas fireplace that also needs some moisture in the air. ... show more

    • Great Device, But Doesn’t Last

We bought this device in Sep-23, a little over a year ago. It is life-changingly good because it is so hands-off: 1) You only have to refill it every few days (vs. daily for most standard humidifiers) 2) All the parts are easily accessible, so cleaning it, including the tank, is a breeze 3) The ability to set a target humidity and just let it automatically adjust its own output to hit that target is great 4) Using the VeSync app to control them is fairly intuitive, it’s not perfect, but works fine That said, I’m only giving it 4 stars because, after having such an experience with this device in my bedroom, I bought 2 more, one for each of my kids’ rooms too. This worked great for the winter. In the summer I emptied the tanks and stopped using the devices over the summer (it’s naturally humid in NY in the summer). When I plugged them back in the following winter (Nov-24), 2 of them didn’t work! They gave indecipherable light patterns to indicate that something was wrong, and would not connect to my WiFi or the VeSync app. This could have been a 2-star experience, but Levoit’s customer support was quick to step in and offer to replace both of the broken models under their 2-year warranty. In-all, this is a great product, but I would buy it with the expectation that you might only get 2 years of use out of it. If you’re comfortable spending this much for that much longevity, you will LOVE IT! ... show more

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE (please read until the end of this long post) I purchased two of these units and initially I liked them.. They were quite, easy to fill, and did all of the basic things a humidifier would do. The quality of the construction felt cheap but their performance was decent. The problem I ran into was with the AROMA BOXES. After a little over a month, they became jammed and would not open. I tried to contact Levoit, but no one ever answered the phone. I sent an email, CLEARLY explaining the problem, and after several days I received a response from “Skyler”. She asked that I provide more information on how the boxes were jammed. I told her when I pushed on the box, it would not open, (not a complicated problem), so I was unable to refill the scent box. The emails were not resolving the problem so I asked her to call me, but I never received a call. The emails continued and Levoit asked me to send a video showing how the boxes were jammed??? I took two videos showing me pressing on the aroma boxes and them not opening. Levoit said they could not view them, so they gave me a website to upload the video. I tried to send the videos every way possible(each video was 10 seconds or less) but their website kept saying there was an error. On the final email, Levoit responded “ the video file exceeds the size limit, please upload it to Google Cloud Drive or other video sharing sites and provide a link to share it (please make sure we have the permission to view it).”. REALLY???? I don’t have a google account and didn’t have any idea how to go about that process! All I was asking for was two small replacement boxes!!! Fortunately, Amazon realized what Levoit was requesting was completely unreasonable and fixed my problem. Based on my experience, LEVOITS CUSTOMER SERVICE will have you jump through countless hoops hoping you just give up so they don’t have to FIX THE PROBLEM. I will never buy another LEVOIT PRODUCT with this type of “CUSTOMER SUPPORT”. If they won’t replace two small aroma boxes, what happens if you run into a bigger problem??? ... show more
