Quick and easy stud finding. No fumbling with guessing the edges of studs and then working out their centers as was the case with my previous stud finders. This will show the location of the stud center. The LCD screen works much better than LED lights and beeps alone on typical stud finders. I have never found stud centers so quickly and easily, not to mention all the false positives I used to get in the past.

This product is much better than relying on nails in studs that hang drywall. Many of those nails are on the edge of the stud. I'm hanging heavy stuff on the walls of my garage and wanted the absolute center of the stud for stability. This thing finds it. Great product.

We bought this stud finder because we needed to hang something heavy on a wall and needed to make sure to have it in the studs. It was a little difficult to use, as we had to try several times to locate the studs. We were successful. We did like the feature that it was supposed to detect electric lines in the walls, also.

Not much you can say about a stud finder. It works exactly as advertised. Easy to use with simple but thorough instructions. I’ve used it several times to hang art and find studs, pipe and wire. Good value for the price.

New home has textured walls, making it difficult to know what is behind the stucco (or whatever it is!) For 3 years I did not hang pictures because of the walls. It definitely found metal in the metal setting, (I already knew it was a wall with metal housing behind it.) And tells you where a stud starts and ends. This stud finder is more useful than the cheaper ones at Home Depot that tell you something is there, but you don't know if it's wood or metal.

I bought this so that my grandson could find studs in the wall so that he could help by hanging some really heavy mirrors and photographs that I have and it worked perfectly. I would not be without one of these because I do not want to have tons of little holes in the wall or to hang up something and it fall off on somebody’s head. Great tool!!

It works OK if you take multiple passes across the drywall, but it's inconsistent (sometimes it recognizes the stud; other times it does not...even while going over the same location). I have other stud-finders to verify whether this is working correctly. I usually only finalize on the stud when two or more stud-finders indicate the same place.
