Added a board behind it like they list in the product page. 6- 3" deck screws into my wall studs, then I screwed this to the board. Super sturdy, well built, and looks great. The little clips keep the hangers from coming off when you remove a guitar/bass. I could do without the corporate logo's on it, but for what I paid I'll deal with it. Too easy to just cover over them with something if it bothers you that much. I would recommend this to anybody and definitely do the board hack. It'll cost you an extra $10-12 between the board and some longer screws not counting paint (I painted mine black to blend in).

I expected something flimsy and cheap but this is actually made pretty well. We all know the string swing is 4x the price of this but is it really that much better? You will definitely want someone who knows carpentry to help if you are not a DIY person. I would suggest having a board on top of the studs and screw this onto that for stability. I wouldn't trust hanging this with just drywall anchors. All in all its solid for the price and should work perfectly. I would also recommend removing the big rubber things on the hangers so it's easier to take the guitar on and off.

I was hesitant buying something so cheap for my guitars. But I was very surprised of how sturdy it was! Easy to put together. Get a level and start with the center section and put two screws in. Level all remaining pieces (due to sag when put together) and mark holes. Go to Lowe’s and get some blue drywall anchors. Hold 46 lbs per anchor and come with bit needed. Try to find a couple studs in the process. The included hardware to me looked like junk and I didn’t waste my time. Be careful the brackets will move. I haven’t decided if I will run a Tek screw (self drilling metal screw) through the brackets to stabilize it or let it fly. Just OCD to me. Overall happy with purchase.

The Build & Installation Out of the box, the STRICH Aluminum Rail is an impressive piece of hardware. It’s solid, finished in a clean matte black, and they certainly don’t skimp on the mounting supplies - it comes with enough screws and wall anchors to secure a small satellite. However, if you're a stickler for symmetry, you’ll likely hit the same snag I did: the pre-drilled holes in the rail rarely align with 16-inch on-center studs while keeping the rack centered on your wall. Rather than trusting anchors alone with five of my prized instruments, I opted for a mounting board solution. I secured a solid wood backer into the studs first, then mounted the STRICH rail to that. It’s rock-solid, centered, and gives me total peace of mind. The Dimensional "Dealbreaker" The aluminum construction is top-tier, but the geometry of the hangers is, frankly, baffling for a home setup. These arms are excessively long. I understand the need for clearance, but these take it to an extreme. The Gap: With a thick-bodied Dreadnought acoustic, the back of the guitar sits a full 8 inches off the wall. The Footprint: Once you account for the depth of the guitar body itself, the front of the instrument is nearly a foot into the room. It doesn't look like a sleek display; it looks like the guitars are trying to escape. In a smaller studio or a hallway, this isn't just an aesthetic issue - it's a high-risk "bump zone." You're losing a massive amount of floor space to dead air behind the instruments. The Verdict The rail itself is a 5-star piece of engineering, but the arms feel like they were designed for a retail storefront where you need to reach behind the display, not a residential wall. Bottom Line: If you want your guitars to "hug" the wall for that professional gallery look, the stock arms won't do it. I ended up sourcing shorter, third-party slat-wall arms to swap onto the rail. STRICH needs to offer a "Short-Reach" version for those of us who aren't trying to display our gear in the middle of the room. Mission Status: Structurally 10/10, but ergonomically "room-invasive." Swap the arms and you have the perfect rack.

Took a while to install and measure it nice and evenly. I wasn’t able to hold it up myself to mark the spots for the holes, so I had someone hold it up while I made pencil marks and drilled. Has held up super sturdy and I love that FIVE guitars can fit! A game-changer in organization and aesthetics! The rack's sturdy construction instills confidence that my guitars are securely held in place. The U-loops cradle each instrument gently, protecting them from scratches or damage. Installation was simple thanks to the included hardware and clear instructions, allowing me to mount it securely to the wall. One of the standout features of this rack is its sleek design. Crafted from decent-quality materials with a modern finish, it showcases my guitars beautifully and enhances the overall aesthetic of my music room. I love how you can bend the individual racks to whichever direction you’d like the guitars to be organized. Functionality-wise, the rack excels. I recommend it.

Pleasantly surprised. Was considering the more expensive brand until I read their reviews. This arrived quickly with all the pieces AND the walnut color I wanted (other brand wanted a premium for that color), was easy to put together, and feels sturdy once its on the wall. Recommend attaching the middle first and moving out from there, paying attention to measuring the distance from ceiling (or floor). Using a level should not be the only method because its segmented when put together and the sections move in a slightly snake-like way. Be mindful of it.

Super easy to install. I was a little nervous hanging 5 guitars from it, and one of them being a ‘68 Les Paul which isn’t cheap. But the mount is solid, I have zero worries after seeing how solid it is.
