Took a while to install and measure it nice and evenly. I wasn’t able to hold it up myself to mark the spots for the holes, so I had someone hold it up while I made pencil marks and drilled. Looks good, most importantly mounting holes are 16" on center. You don't need screws in all the holes which are every 4". Best hanger for the price. Better quality than I expected.

This wall mount is AWESOME !!!!!! The fact that it's made in different sections, versus one single piece makes it that much more sturdy. I had one that was made by "String Swing" and it actually began to twist and warp, albeit only about 1/4", but that's no good !!! This unit comes with all the holes for mounting the unit to the wall, pre-drilled as well as all the wall mounting hardware you could possibly need !!! The clips that hold the sections together are amazingly sturdy too. My ONLY criticism is that the spacing of the pre-drilled holes didn't match up with the stud spacing in my walls. But that wasn't really an issue. I love this unit and I would highly recommend it over any other option available !!!

Update: I contacted Strich about the missing clips and they sent me out some more no questions asked. I'll leave at only 4 stars though because the clips don't adequately hold the hangers in place. They're still able to slide around and eventually the retainer clips work their way out if you use a particular hanger a lot. I'm thinking on their end a thumb screw on each one to lock it in place would be the right move, or possibly some rubberized overmolding so it can't slide so easily in the track. For me, what I'm probably going to do is use zip screws to permanently locate them so they don't move. I really like it conceptually and the price is right. The rack allows you modularity, so as opposed to just screwing the hangers into the wall and leaving them there permanently, you can move around and adjust the angles of the hangers to fit different guitars. They also set the hangers up with screw holes so you can use them by themselves by screwing directly into the wall, which is a nice touch. Now for what I don't like. For one thing they mention in the directions that the little plastic retainer clip is absolutely essential to properly using the hangers in the track, but I only got 9 of the ten clips, so I have one useless hanger. Luckily I don't have 10 guitars to hang right now, so I'm good for the time being, but I would like to have that piece for future use. Second problem is that one of the hangers was manufactured in such a way that the retainer clip wouldn't fit. Since I was missing a clip and didn't need that hanger anyway, it didn't matter for the time being, but they need to improve the consistency of their quality control. I was eventually able to bend the bracket to fit, but I had to mar the finish quite a bit to get it done. I'll attempt to contact the manufacturer about the clip and update, because support for such problems is essential for people considering this purchase.

Looks amazing on the wall and is holding up so good. Been up for a couple months and really changed how the room is set up, giving us more space for amps below the guitar space. It was very easy to hang up and install and we’ve had no issues with any guitars taking a fall. We have both electric and acoustic up there and it works amazingly.

Pleasantly surprised. Was considering the more expensive brand until I read their reviews. This arrived quickly with all the pieces AND the walnut color I wanted (other brand wanted a premium for that color), was easy to put together, and feels sturdy once its on the wall. Recommend attaching the middle first and moving out from there, paying attention to measuring the distance from ceiling (or floor). Using a level should not be the only method because its segmented when put together and the sections move in a slightly snake-like way. Be mindful of it.

Overall, this is a nice set up. Sturdy materials, looks good, and easy to install. However, there is one major flaw... Once the hangers are set in place, there is nothing to stop them from sliding from left to right. There should at least be a small wing nut or something to lock them in place. When I grab a guitar off the rack, the hanger can easily slide, and I have to spend time trying to get it back in place. This could easily be a 5 star review, if they could fix this problem.
