My husband is terrible about applying body lotion and his shoulder tattoo was looking dull so I left this spray sitting out and so far he has been applying it every morning. We both love that this is a spray and not a thick salve that you have to scoop out. Just a couple of spritzes and you can rub it in or not but it really does accentuate and moisturize the skin very nicely. I have one small tattoo that has a small red heart that's been looking faded and sad but this spray made it look fresh, if only for a few hours before I reapplied.

The Stories & Ink Tattoo Aftercare | HIGHLIGHTING BODY OIL is a very hydrating body oil that helps refresh tattoos so they look almost brand new. The oil is hydrating and feels nice on the skin. It's nothing amazing but it does a great job for what it is supposed to do.

Stories & Ink Highlighting Body Oil is a spray-on emollient designed for use on healed tattoos. Formulated with several botanical extracts and oils, with a light, pleasant scent (a bit coconutty, to me). Sprays on in a light mist; it is oily until it sinks in fully, then leaves my skin soft, with a slight "glow". Peps up my older tats, but I also enjoy it for general skin care -- very moisturizing, leaves a light protective barrier. Not messy or heavy, as some balms are. I'm enjoying using it daily for various skin care needs, including after being out in the sun -- feels very soothing.

This spray will make you shiny. That's about it. I noticed zero difference in the appearance of my tattoos. Smelled decent.

The highlighting body oil smells delicious, like you are preparing to go to the beach. It dries with a sheen, but not tacky. This is why I'm torn. I do not like that perfume and other scents are dominating ingredients. Then more fragrance in the lower ingredients too. You could develop contact dermatitis if you are sensitive. To be fair, the bottle does say it is for healed tattoos. I just can't get behind a product that is predominately fragrance, especially for tats.
