I love the asymmetrical style of this set, and they do look great, but unfortunately after just about a month of use, several have cracked in the microwave or dishwasher. While they are supposed to be dishwasher and microwave safe, it seems to be hit or miss, as some did fine in the microwave, while other cracked randomly during heating, and one about a minute or so after heating. I had heated up some leftover pasta and was carrying the plate with a towel to the table, and before i made it halfway I was left with only the part I was holding in the towel! I love black or dark dishes. I think they make food look so much better than white ones do. I have a beautiful handmade set for my dining room, but I wanted some extras for mixing things up, and ensuring I have enough for 8 - 10 people. This set does compliment my set in terms of color, but my handmade ones look so much nicer, and these just look like they tried to make them look nice by making them asymmetrical. They just end up looking poorly made. I have put them through the dishwasher once, with no issues, but I haven’t used them since. Not sure if I’m going to keep them or just break down and buy another set of the ones I originally got. I think if you’re using these for everyday, they’re ok, but I don’t think they’re nice enough for formal use. ... show more
