This is an amazing set for the price. I’ve been using them for about a month and not a single chip. They are the perfect size, the color is much better in person and they are sturdy without being too heavy. My only complaint is that the bowls are wider than they are deep so they aren’t the best for cereal but perfect for pasta and salads. The Amazon Basic brand has never let me down yet. I spent a good amount of time searching online for an attractive dinnerware set to go with my new kitchen. These come in various colors and the colors are vibrant and accurate as shown in the description. I was happy to find a set that didn't include mugs and contained a service set of 6, not 4. All of this came in an attractive price so I bought two sets! My initial shipments came with a couple of minor imperfections which prompted me to contact Amazon for a replacement. I was quickly sent two new sets to swap out any items that I didn't want. The color is beautiful (I bought navy blue) and the dishes are good quality. They are dishwasher safe, which is a must. The price is great for this set. I was even happier that it comes with 6 place settings instead of coffee mugs like a lot of other sets.

For a review of just the dishes, scroll to next paragraph. I ordered the yellow set and a green set I received yellow and red. My husband unpacked both boxes while I was out. When I saw the colors when I got home I told him they were wrong. I also told my diehard Eagles fan husband that the dishes were Redskins colors. My dad was the Redskins fan. We called customer service and they told us to pack up the red dishes to return. My husband had obliterated the boxes and that was not going to happen. I asked what could be done. Amazon said the only thing we could do is box them up and return. We have no way to do that. Immor.ally happy with Amazon but this time they got it at wrong. The dishes are very plain and lost their new car shine very quickly. But I still think they're pretty. They are not as heavy as my last set of stoneware but have some weight to them. I already chipped one when putting them away knocking one into the other. ... show more

Unlike most of the first reviews, I actually paid for these, full price. I was afraid ordering the yellow since I have a Mediterranean Yellow and Blue themed kitchen but this shade goes perfectly. It's not washed out or too bright yellow to slow traffic and it's not a dull dijon mustard yellow ... it's sort of in-between the two, closer to French's prepared mustard but not as clear yellow. It's bright enough to say Yellow yet toned down enough to complement the deep blues it's next to. The bowl is the perfect size for starter pasta or a salad to finish your meal with. The smaller plate is more in tune with the size I use for meals. The large plates are LARGE and will fit a ton of food on them, with a slight curved up lip to hold in any juices. I'll be serving a roast, baked potatoes or a cake on them...not so much a whole meal for one. These would be wonderful for a starter kitchen or a family kitchen. I wouldn't use these for fine dining, too many flaws and dips, uneven edges that don't line up when stacked. But for my kitchen, it just adds charm. Later on I'll add the blue. ... show more

Nice quality dishes! They are sturdy, didn’t break from a drop while cleaning. No chips when received, all pieces accounted for. The only thing I don’t LOVE about them is they make a very annoying scrape sound when stacking/getting out, and they’re not hard to clean but also not super easy either. I feel like food sticks to them a little more than previous dish sets I’ve owned. ... show more
