I was simply amazed at how much better my life became with this stirrer. I make 10 quarts of yogurt every week that has to be heated to 180 degrees and has to be stirred often and better constantly. This baby allows me to do something else while it is heating. It does it so well that I was able to forget about heating one day and came into the kitchen to find it boiling and boiled over onto the stove. Ha! I thought my milk was ruined, but this stirrer kept it from scorching to complete burn and was still able to use the milk for my yogurt which was quite the surprise as the milk did not taste scorched. The brown stuff on the bottom of the pan didn’t get mixed into the milk due to the plastic pads on the stirrer and the brown stuff scrubbed off easily as opposed to a few past scorches I’ve had while stirring myself. I love this baby.

I absolutely LOVE this contraption! It works beautifully and I cannot imagine life as a farmers market vendor without it. I bought my StirMate a year ago and after a few uses had an issue with a center plastic piece melting. I called the number on the packaging and was amazed to be speaking with the inventor himself. He agreed that the original center piece had a flaw in its heating point and replaced it with the revised version. I’m back at the Salsa pot and happy to be doing my other Market chores while StirMate does my stirring for me.

The stirmate device with this high temperature, large pot add-on worked perfectly for a huge pot of gumbo my husband made. Finally a way to brown the rue without standing over the stove the entire time. Highly recommended if you love thick gumbo, but lack patience.

I have a 9" soup pot. When I put it in the pot, it kept jamming against the side. I adjusted the position of the wires, but it kept jamming against the side of the pot no matter what I did. After about a n hour, I just gave up and put it back in the box and used the original stirrer. Needless to say I'm really disappointed.

Once every few months I make a large (5 gallon) stock pot of soup, freezing in smaller portions when I am done. Many of the soups, like split pea soup, need constant stirring to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pot. If they do stick, they tend to burn easily ruining the whole pot of soup. If you have a stirMATE stirrer you know the value. If not, it automatically stirs your pot for you. This attachment is just the right size for the deeper and wider 5 gallon stock pots. Now when I am slowing cooking 5 gallons of soup, my stirMATE is constantly stirring the batch, allowing me to check on it periodically rather than standing there constantly manually stirring.

StirMATE is not powerful, it can only stir soup, but is not strong enough to stir a stew, if I test the stirrer first I won't purchase this.

It really is like another set of hands. The bottom blade doesn't quite reach the bottom of the pot, but for the most part it does a decent job.
