I use a personal blender once a day for protein shakes and I am on my third one. The first (a large ninja) burnt out, the second (a chulux) went through two blade attachments due to the grease seal breaking, and now I am on to this one. I wasn't sure if 700w would be powerful enough to blend ice, a half cup of milk, and frozen bananas, but it handled it well and blended it quickly (more quickly than the 1000w chulux), which is a good thing because one con is that you have to hold it while blending, there is no locking mechanism. A few concerns I have are the gasket, it's really deep in there and I know that food will still get trapped underneath so I will need to find a way to remove it and clean it, the blades holding up, and the motor. The last two are based on the bad reviews and my general experience with personal blenders. Some people said it didn't blend all of their ingredients but I am guessing they didn't have enough liquid for the amount of solid and or frozen foods. After limited use, I am really happy with this blender, but I know that it can take a few months of use for issues to pop up. Pros - small and easy to store (the cup only holds 16 ounces which works well for me) - blends quickly - quiet Cons - gasket will be difficult to clean under - no locking mechanism while blending - cup shape, I wish the cup were a little less tall (I prefer a wider cup) ... show more

It’s effortless and can take on large pieces of frozen fruit filled to the top without putting a drag on the motor. Cuts through and blends in seconds. Plus, this manufacture provides 2 blender containers for the low price of the blender. Finally, a quality blender that I can use for all my protein shakes without the worry of mechanical failure. I wanted a simple smoothie maker that my kids could use independently. This fits the bill. If you follow the directions, add ingredients in order, and don’t overfill, it blends them perfectly. In order: Fresh fruits/veg Leafy greens Yogurt / liquid Powders Frozen ingredients / ice I sometimes overfill, which is easily fixed by adding a bit of water and shaking it. Using a pulsing action blends it smooth every time. It’s very easy to clean. My kids can simply rinse the blade, which they’re able to handle safely. As long as they rinse it right away, I can easily wash with soapy water later. I wish I had sprung for the extra cups, but I’m trying to minimize clutter. As soon as one person makes a smoothie, the rest of the house wants one. Not a big deal, we just dump into another cup. The ability to throw a lid on and go is super convenient. Lid does not leak and the cup fits well in my car holder. A bit noisy, but not as loud as my blender or food processor and to be expected when smashing frozen ingredients and ice. It looks nice and doesn’t take up a lot of counter or cabinet space. For a quick, one and done smoothie, I can’t say enough about how great this is. P.S. To the person who said add spinach, you can’t taste it - you were right! I now put a handful of fresh baby spinach and a teaspoon of flax seed in every one. Ground flax is also a great addition.
