Fantastic radio upgrade for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator! I followed along with the video on Stingers YouTube channel and went back and forth to the instructions. The video is great but some small details are different with the radio I got. It’s a little pricier than some of the other CarPlay/Android Auto on Amazon, but it is high quality and came with every harness needed to install and retain all stock functionality. The radio has great sound quality with the OEM speakers and offers a much better EQ. The fit was really tight in the dash behind the head unit, but it is sculpted to fit perfectly on the dash. It looks great.

Originally was going to give a much lower rating due to difficulty of this "plug and play" set up. Yes, it is plug and play, but you still really need to know what you're doing. They have videos for installing the model below this and above this, but NOTHING on the HEIGH10+ specifically, and there are several differences between the models that you just can't wing it. I ended up trying and a few features just didn't work. I figured I set something up wrong. I was right. I took it to the local radio install place, paid $150 to troubleshoot and reinstall. Now it works great, back up camera and all other features work as they should. It fits and looks awesome. It's a great option to the tiny stock radio in a Gladiator SportS. The Android Auto works perfect and it's even improved the sound of my stock speakers! A little louder and a little clearer.

There are some hiccups with this model and had the new one been out when I bought this I would have opted for it. Main detractors are it is not waterproof (new one is) it constantly thinks it's in motion so some features refuse to work for my purposes there are work around. IE. Voice to text instead of typing. Also if I plug my phone in after it starts it loses it's mind and needs to be reset. I would also recommend liquid glass or something similar at purchase it seems susceptible to scratching and dust dirt and grit are common ingredients in my drives. That said it is a huge improvement functionally as well as visually in the jeep fit and finish are excellent. Installation if you follow directions and watch some videos is scary but doable just take your time. None of it is difficult but sort of delicate. Think repacking a child's toy in the box after Christmas.

So I did a lot of research before I bought this product read all the reviews and it seem like this was going to be a very good replacement for my 2022 jeep wrangler. However, when I ordered the first unit and did the install, the unit would never boot up call customer service at stinger, and they had me update the three pack modules, and as I did that when I was plugged into the main one, the unit decided to boot up but as soon as I unplugged my laptop, it would not boot up so they suggested I return it and get another one, so I did Had to return it to Amazon. Wait for them to credit my account and bought another one so this process took about four weeks. Finally got the second one did the installation and the port for CarPlay would not work. I had to directly plug into the back of the unit with the cord for the phone for it to work it would not work with the cable provided they sent a second one. It did the same thing it would only work with it directly plugged into the back port of the radio , after about two months of operation, the screen began to freeze almost every time I would go into reverse it would say no signal and it would freeze on that screen. I would have to shut the vehicle off and allow it to reboot, so it wouldn’t say no signal, so it was suggested that I wait a couple minutes allow the system to fully boot Before I backed up this also didn’t work so now sometimes it works and sometimes it does not waiting on an answer from Stinger to see if we can resolve this. To me this is absolutely ridiculous that I’m having this much trouble with a supposed much better unit and every time you have to try to fix something you have to take the whole thing out to try to resolve the issue. This is quite converse home and this shouldn’t have to happen. I am very displeased with the product itself and hopefully they’ll work with me and do something to fix this problem and make it right but seriously considering on scrapping the whole unit and go to a different one. I am tired of not being able to see the screen and use the radio as it should.

Great quality, the entire kit is plug and play, all of the modules and harnesses are great quality, the screen resolution is like an HD TV. The operating system is smooth and the touch screen is smooth. The trim kit makes it look OEM. It also woke my aftermarket system up and I still retained all of the factory features. There is also a feature to turn off the auto start stop so you don’t have to buy the delete for it. The rear camera has a wider view and is HD. Blows the 8.4 Uconnect out of the water. Plus there is wireless CarPlay. Hop in, start jeep and boom, my apple carplay is there. No more wires. Worth the money.

Got the Stinger for the larger screen. The graphics aren’t very exciting but it has more features than the stupid stock stereo. Install video does not match the installation kit now. There is no one main harness like the video shows. Contacted the Stinger peeps and they said they have not made an updated video. Section 6 in the install sucks bad. Have to remove the lower dash section completely to get inside the area to complete the placement of the small camera module. Then have to blindly insert the three separate plugs upside down. Took an entire day to complete the install. Had to use a wire hanger to pull the chime and GPS wiring through to the head unit. Ugh. Got the unit firmware updated pretty easily. Just glad it’s over and I got it on a flash sale.
