  • Great Upgrade!
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
Fantastic radio upgrade for my 2020 Jeep Gladiator! I followed along with the video on Stingers YouTube channel and went back and forth to the instructions. The video is great but some small details are different with the radio I got. It’s a little pricier than some of the other CarPlay/Android Auto on Amazon, but it is high quality and came with every harness needed to install and retain all stock functionality. The radio has great sound quality with the OEM speakers and offers a much better EQ. The fit was really tight in the dash behind the head unit, but it is sculpted to fit perfectly on the dash. It looks great. ... show more

  • Excellent after-sales service.
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review: “Excellent after-sales service.” We had an initial install issue—the back camera wasn’t working properly. We reached out to Stinger, and within 24 hours they responded and coordinated with the installers, who corrected the problem. Everything works perfectly now. Thanks to Josh Cramer, the Stinger service agent, I didn’t have to uninstall or return the unit. Pro tip: always use a Stinger-certified installer—you can find them on Stinger’s website. ... show more

  • Solid. I'll have another for the Wifes jeep.
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
Doesn't really care for having two different Bluetooth devices in side at once. It'll lock up sometimes and need to be reset. Back up camera will freeze on the black loading screen from time to time. 4 times in 7 months for me. Had a guy I work with buy one because he liked mine and I praises it. He's is a JL Sahara mine a Willys JT. Both fit and function are great. Tight squeeze getting it all in. With it had wireless car play. You can buy them for 30 buck.. The hdmi to the center console… sucked but works fine. If it had wireless carolay. You wouldn't need to run that wire. You could keep it but power only. I have half a mind to put the wireless car play dongle in the back I'd the head unit and get the power supply usb back in the console. Off road pages are so much better and probably the reason most people buy it. Make sure Ans get the non-included map card. It has to be worth it Install was good. They need to update the video a little and out focus in a few areas more. But I can see why they don't put it in there. For those of us that watched the video before buying. False hope a little. But it be fair I am going to get the front facing camera and that should be an easy add-on. Solid A- But not a 10/10 And someone tell me why this can't also have a scanner built in yet? Even if it was a removable whip? No chance to change the tire size or gear ratio. ... show more

  • It works, but there are issues to consider...
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
I've this unit installed my Gladiator since October 2022. It pretty much worked as advertised with a couple of important caveats... First: 1. It looks like it came with the Jeep. Even the Jeep service center didn't notice it at first. 2. Installation is pretty simple until you try to seat unit into the dash. It took me a couple of hours just to cram the wires in to the point the screws would catch (Stinger is well aware). 3. It works as advertised with a couple of caveats... It requires the wiring harness to be "jammed" into the dash cavity, and I mean it takes some doing. If you installed or saw one installed you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. Having the wires crimped like they are could cause random failures in some of the normal functions. I'm sure heat also plays a part. Whether or not you know it, the radio is tied into many non radio functions, like blind spot detection, SOS function, etc... 1. It randomly loses the rear camera feed and parking sensors. Once or twice I would not have thought much about it, but it continues to happen randomly. 2. There was a 2-3 week period when my blind spot detection randomly failed. I took it to a Jeep dealer 3 times (1 of those times I left it with them for 3 days) and they couldn't reproduce it, but I did have a video Jeep wouldn't accept the video because I was in traffic occasionally stopping, and they claimed I may not have been going over 6 miles/hr (blind spot threshold). The first time I noticed it, I was driving as highway speeds (on the highway), but I was alone at that time. After the 1st Jeep visit, I mounted my phone to point out of the passenger window to capture the side view mirror (blind spot notification) and traffic. I recorded about 6 minutes of video, which clearly showed the blind spot detector failing at various speeds. Bottom line, Jeep also claimed the radio could've been the culprit, what could I say... FYI, I was involved in a crash while I was on an off ramp merging into traffic (a car was in my blind spot), and the blind spot failed. Luckily I was only doing 20-25 MPH. When we got out to trade insurance info, the lady said she watched as I was changing lanes, and she was thinking "what is he doing" (her words). I asked her why didn't she just blow the horn, and she just stared at me. It would've only taken a tap of the horn. She could've easily prevented the collision, but it was my fault... I cannot say for certain if the radio played a part in blind spot failure, but it is quite possible. I did reach out to Stinger to find out if they built a better harness; they have not. I am going to put the OEM radio back in my Gladiator. ... show more

  • The silicon pack taste great!!
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
Recommend eating the silicon pack before install!!! Took me 4-5 hours starting with the radio harness on the bench then removing the interior panels. Had camera issues but troubleshooted and found one of the harnesses was no longer used and found the updated harness supplied and got the camera working. All the wires were labeled and installation manual was straightforward compared to the video "please update video along with showing wire harnesses". Sound is better and useful features especially Trans and Engine temp. All wires are labeled which is every technicians dream. Install is not beginner friendly but any experienced tech can get this done in 2 hours. Hardest part for experienced techs is shoving the unit in place with rats nest tucked behind. Sound is good, video is better than OEM. Drive train data was the selling point for me. Will not be doing this service again but whoever designed this unit deserves a raise. ... show more

  • Not as advertised
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
So I did a lot of research before I bought this product read all the reviews and it seem like this was going to be a very good replacement for my 2022 jeep wrangler. However, when I ordered the first unit and did the install, the unit would never boot up call customer service at stinger, and they had me update the three pack modules, and as I did that when I was plugged into the main one, the unit decided to boot up but as soon as I unplugged my laptop, it would not boot up so they suggested I return it and get another one, so I did Had to return it to Amazon. Wait for them to credit my account and bought another one so this process took about four weeks. Finally got the second one did the installation and the port for CarPlay would not work. I had to directly plug into the back of the unit with the cord for the phone for it to work it would not work with the cable provided they sent a second one. It did the same thing it would only work with it directly plugged into the back port of the radio , after about two months of operation, the screen began to freeze almost every time I would go into reverse it would say no signal and it would freeze on that screen. I would have to shut the vehicle off and allow it to reboot, so it wouldn’t say no signal, so it was suggested that I wait a couple minutes allow the system to fully boot Before I backed up this also didn’t work so now sometimes it works and sometimes it does not waiting on an answer from Stinger to see if we can resolve this. To me this is absolutely ridiculous that I’m having this much trouble with a supposed much better unit and every time you have to try to fix something you have to take the whole thing out to try to resolve the issue. This is quite converse home and this shouldn’t have to happen. I am very displeased with the product itself and hopefully they’ll work with me and do something to fix this problem and make it right but seriously considering on scrapping the whole unit and go to a different one. I am tired of not being able to see the screen and use the radio as it should. ... show more

  • love it, looks like it was factory
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
My 2020 Jeep had the crappiest radio. I was originally going to buy the Stinger but the price tag threw me off considering it wasn't even wireless AA/Carplay. Eventually I just pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. Installation was a little tricky. The videos online were older, the wiring harness I got was slightly different but I was able to figure it out eventually. The hardest part was probably trying to shove all the wiring behind the screen, there is no space in the Jeep dash. And I had to do it twice because I didn't have the backup camera plugged in correctly. I bought a wireless USB AA/Carplay dongle so I could connect my phone. I love the fact that everything I needed was included with the kit no guess work involved. The trim rings and the fit make it look like it was original equipment. The 10" screen is awesome. Touch works great. The jeep radio had a 5" screen that was pretty useless. I can finally see my backup camera now and it is very clear. I like the extra screens I have now like pitch/roll/altimeter and a bunch of engine/system diagnostics I didn't have access to before. I installed the GPS antennae but don't use it, just use my phone and AA with Waze or Google maps but may eventually get the maps JIC I am somewhere without a signal. Installed the external mic behind my rear view mirror where you can't see it but it works fantastic in that location. I genuinely enjoy driving my car on trips more now because I have the large screen with navigation, no more squinting at my phone. My only gripes are: lack of wireless AA or Carplay but that can be fixed with wireless adapter. Really hard to see the screen due to glare in the daytime. I put a screen protector on it but it wasn't an anti glare protector. I may the protector due to the glare. ... show more

  • Meh (not worth the price)
Size: 10" (HEIGH10)
Product looks good installed, but half the features don’t work even after doing a firmware upgrade on the device. Kind of stupid to pay 700 dollars for something that a 100 dollar radio can do. Save your money, buy something cheaper that will actually work.
