  • Beautiful, sturdy kitchen
First of all I love this kitchen and so do my grandkids. It is very sturdy, thick durable wood, and very nice latches so that when you close the doors it latches tightly shut. There is tons of cubbies and cupboards and so much storage for all of the pretend food, appliances and whatever else kids want to add to it. It comes with some cooking utensils and pans and the stove requires batteries and the burners light up. The “not so positive” .... this took a full 8 hours to assemble and it was done by my husband who is a Union Journeyman Carpenter. The instructions that came with it were terrible and not clear at all. We set out every piece and put them in number order before we even started. It took both of us working non stop to get this done. There are about 200 pieces... all but 5 of them were numbered, but we were able to figure out where they went. Also, there are dozens of small wooden dowels that go into holes for stronger support and we used wood glue to put those in. I suggest very strongly to choose a large spot for assembly, put everything in number order and have wood glue, screw gun, or screwdrivers handy... and most of all... a lot of patience!!! Also**** this kitchen is perfect size for big/tall kids! Ages 7/8 still great! ... show more

  • Took A Little Effort, But Worth It!
I don't generally write reviews, but this play kitchen is simply great and my granddaughter loves it. The instructions are a bit cryptic but once you figure out how to interpret them it's fairly easy. I recommend starting with the refrigerator because it is stand alone and relatively straight forward. You need to review the plans carefully, particularly the sheet with the items that need to be prepped before installing and take your time. The product is well engineered and fits together almost perfectly. It made of wood and uses dowels and screws to make a very sturdy and attractive "kitchen". Note that it takes at least two people to put together. ... show more

  • Kitchen Play For Hours!
I could go on and on about the playtime pleasure. My granddaughter has with this play set kitchen. I agree with other reviewers the assembly takes a little bit of time but well worth it. I found getting organized before beginning to put it together was very helpful. Additionally, having a few tools nearby to open up a hole or ensure the placement of a screw is handy. I purchased a small accessory basket of pretend food, but that is not necessary to enjoy the play kitchen. One thing about this play kitchen that others do not have is the ability to have children access all sides of the playset. It can be an expensive place at but the quality of the put together is long lasting, and if you have time, watch for discounts or percentage off sales. I was able to get mine for 50% off over black Friday. ... show more

  • Absolutely Recommend!!!!
I was really up in the air about buying this because some of the reviews had me worried. Missing pieces, pieces not labeled, instructions aren't detailed enough. I will say, the instructions have no words, just pictures but if you really look at the images and at the pieces you can tell exactly how everything goes! I put this whole thing together by myself (I'm a 27 year old sahm). It took me roughly 8 hours to put together with many, MANY interruptions!!! It's very sturdy! Perfect size for my 3 year old! She absolutely loves it! It is definitely worth every penny!!!! I would absolutely recommend this kitchen for anyone with a child or children 2 years and older! Even my 6 year old loves it! ... show more

  • Fantastic kitchen with major assembly required
Get ready for a long review but I want it to be as detailed as possible to hopefully help anyone looking at purchasing this. I probably looked at every play kitchen ever made and this one is what I decided on. My criteria was: • Big enough for my 4 year old (boy) • NOT pink • Includes refrigerator •Lots of storage Finding a kitchen large enough for an older child knocked out 3/4 of the competition. This kitchen looked large and met every want on my list. The fact that it's wooden was an added bonus. I hesitated for a long time because of the cost but it was worth it! I have not seen a more realistic play kitchen on the market. It's solid and has tons of space for storage and cooking. My 3 kids (1)(4)(10) all play with it. They can spend hours playing kitchen/resturant. This beautiful thing does not come without some downfalls though, which is why I gave 4 stars not 5. The other reviews are not kidding when they say assembly is a pain in the butt. I assembled it alone over 2 days and it took me 11 hours. Granted I did have kids "helping". A huge chunk of time was spent looking for a certain # piece. They are not packaged in order and with over 100 pieces it's frustrating not being able to find the one you need easily. Making that even harder, some of the pieces were missing # stickers on them so I had to put it to the side and try to figure it out later. The directions have no text just back and white pictures. It does skip some steps so you'll have to use your imagination a little. And last but not least I too had a missing piece and several damaged ones. Amazon offered a partial refund and I was able to get replacements from Step 2 very easily. I just put this together so I cannot say how well it will hold up overtime but I'm fairly confident it wont disappoint. I'm including close up pictures too; whether it be confusing or missing instructions looking at how it was suppose to look helped out tremendously. ... show more

  • Beautiful kitchen, 8 hours of professional assembly required
If I had realized how many hours of labor it would require to assemble this, I never world have purchased it. Add a full 8 hour day of labor to the cost. Pretty, but buyer beware. ETA: Hasn't held up great to rough play. Th handles came off already and the paint has chipped a little. It also has some sharp corners. Fridge leaves a lot to be desired. ... show more
