  • Simply Beautiful but Assembly is Challenging! Overall I highly recommend if you have patience 😊
Color: White
I purchased this kitchen as a joint birthday gift for both of my young daughters, ages 2 and three. When it arrived everything was packaged very well and all the pieces were included. The assembly was not easy and although I had read many reviews and tried to take note of all the hints that were provided on this product, it was a challenge. Thank God for the patience of my sister-in-law! There are over 50 pieces and 50 steps for assembling the kitchen. The instructions do not indicate when using screws with the same letter label if you should use the silver or white so we had to backtrack and try to figure out if the screws would be showing and need to be white or silver. This delayed the assembly process. Every other piece is clearly marked but it would have been helpful if the directions gave part “l silver” or part “I white.” I did take buyer recommendations and get small lights for the refrigerator, over the sink, and the stove. I also bought accessories for the kitchen but the kitchen itself is beautiful and my girls are absolutely in love with it. They have already spent hours playing with this kitchen set and I highly recommend it even though the assembly took us approximately three hours to put together. Apart from the challenges with assembling because of the screws not being labeled clearly, the overall process was very easy. Another note is there aren’t any words for the instructions (all photos and letters/numbers). For the price and quality you will absolutely have your expectations met. It is simply beautiful and well-made. ... show more

  • Best Play Kitchen!
Color: Espresso
So, I have to admit, I knew at least one of my kids would love this play kitchen before I bought it because their therapy center had the white version and I was told numerous times that they spent the entire day playing with this play kitchen. Anyways, this kitchen is extremely cute and imaginative. There's a little fridge, a stove, a washing machine, a microwave, and what I'm assuming is a dishwasher. I saw a review from a parent that had spray painted the handles and did all of these really cool upgrades, but I didn't get that far. I just got the stick on lights and the red tape, but nothing came of it. For some reason, I did not think about the batteries the little stick on lights would take. The good news is that the kitchen pieces have batteries already installed and changing them won't be an issue. I noticed the batteries on one of the stovetop pieces was dying, but you just have to open the stove door and look up and the battery replacement is right there. My only frustration is that some of the screws are in really hard to reach places and require a screwdriver with an absurdly tiny handle. I got the job done, but I feel like those screws are probably a little crooked. It's a little difficult to put together at first because the boards are a little flimsy by themselves, but they are sturdy as a set. I still would recommend this kitchen to anyone looking for one. It's so cute looking into one of my kids' rooms and seeing them both playing at the kitchen. We bought them some life-size food and some plastic kitchen utensils and whatnot from LakeShore Learning, so they could have accessories with their kitchen. This kitchen is a worthwhile investment! ... show more

  • Follow the other users tips/tricks! Great buy, fun to customize and fast great shipping by amazon
Color: White
This is an amazing play kitchen. On ordering; swift delivery, I bought on prime day for about $80(great price). On building; if you are like me you order it months before Christmas and plan On not putting it together until Christmas Eve make sure you go through it and count the pieces at the very least to decrease chance of broken or missing parts and if you do have some you can get a replacement part or kitchen before it’s too late. I had no issues with my set. IMPORTANT TIPS; Listen to the tips on these reviews, they all hold true. Plan on spending an extra hour or two putting together ( my husband took extra long because he did not listen to all the tips I listed below), pay attention to white head screws being on the outside, keep screws a little loose and then tighten everything one all put together, do NOT use a drill ( to decrease likelihood of striped holes or broken plastic peices), leave the knobs on faucet loose so they are turnable for your kids and won’t break off. The perks of this kitchen: the ice cube maker makes sounds and lights up, the knobs are all turnable on the oven and click, the knobs on the faucet turn, the burners light up and make noise. What my kid thinks; SHE LOVES IT! She was saying “ahhh, ohh, yay” for hours on Christmas. She loves the phone also. Fun side ideas; I did some custom finishes on mine which helped to personalize it and make it look cute in our living room instead of a big toy isoar. I sanded, primed and spray painted all the handles, knobs and faucets gold. I bought touch lights on amazon (they have dimmers and timers on them with the help of a remote). I bought car headlight tape and taped over two so the oven has a red glow to it. I replaced the cheveron curtain with a fun Nate Burkus Fabric curtain and made a matching dish towel. I added 2 shelves ( pencil/utinsil) holders from the dollar store to the door for added storage. I added a command hook by the phone to hang her apron and chef’s hat. I bought on amazon the peel and stick subway tile to the back splash, and covered the counters with peel and stick marble contact paper to give it a little lore refined look. Buy storage containers for the cabinets. It makes parent lives soo much easier . I bought a 3 tier Mikasa basket off amazon also. I bought little gold baskets and a pencil cup for additional stylish storage ( also bought on amazon). Remember when buying containers for inside cabinets it’s very shallow so don’t get storage baskets too deep. Ending note; Take a look at my pictures to see what I did to customize. This is your chance creative parents to make your dream kitchen without breaking the bank. I’m jealous of my kid ha ha. Amazon did not disappoint with customer service and price and kidkraft delivered on quality given the price. ... show more

  • Great kitchen for big kids
Color: White
My son absolutely LOVES this kitchen! It was a great upgrade from the smaller plastic kitchen we had and the size is much better for a 6 year old. We have had it for about 6 months now and it has held up well. I do wish there were more shelves in the fridge and cabinet for more efficient storage. The directions were easy to understand but it is big and took about 3 hours to put together by myself. Overall, this is a great play kitchen especially for bigger kids 5-8. ... show more

  • Good quality - Easy build
Color: White
The photo is the kitchen exactly as it is. I think adding extra lights, pot holders, and new curtains will make it even cuter. Quality is good for the price. I wasn’t missing any pieces and it took me around 2 1/2 hours to build. It was easy to construct and the directions are clear and easy to follow. I wish the microwave buttons were real and not just printed onto the wood. Same with the phone - the buttons are just for looks. I do love that the stove burners turn on and make sounds. The ice dispenser also makes noise which is nice. All in all, I think it’s a very cute kitchen that will last and give good storage space for kitchen accessories. Size is perfect for my 2.5 y/o. ... show more

  • Absolutely perfect little kitchen!
Color: White
SO CUTE. Okay, first of all, I researched play kitchens so about 3 months before I finally chose this one. As a kid myself, my play kitchen was my absolute favorite toy, so I wanted to find the right one! I noticed the plastic kitchen LOOKED like they had storage, but inside the cabinets, they were so shallow barely anything actually fit. So I started looking into the wood ones. Kidkraft came up as one of the best reviewed brands. I found this kitchen in the original mocha, and loved the kitchen, but wasn’t a fan of the brown. I found that amazon had an exclusive white version, and was instantly in love! Now I confess, when the kitchen got delivered and I saw how small the box was, my first thought was “oh s***”! I had been warned from other reviewers that the building process was long, and boy was it! It took me a solid 4 hours by myself. Overall though, the building part wasn’t too complicated if you follow instructions. There is only one major flaw with the instructions, and it’s regarding labeling of the screws (which is read in someone else’s review as well). All the parts where nicely labeled by letter. However, a few of the letters there were two compartments of (and now next to each other either). For example, there were two “L” compartments. They were the same screw, but one compartment they were all silver, and the other the screw heads were painted white. Now, I get this is probably because the white head screws are meant to end up on the outside parts that will show, but let me tell you, as you are putting this together (and it has over 45+ parts!) for the most part, you have no idea which sides and parts will end up on the outside. So mostly, I guessed. Some screws I ended up going back and switching out once I saw where it’d end up. But basically, the instructions need to distinguish between the two different versions of painted or non painted screws in the directions. Otherwise, they were pretty straightforward. And it was worth it! This kitchen is so cute and sturdy! And I love that it fits in the corner! The noises for the stovetop and ice maker are adorable! I only wish that the microwave also made sound! The storage in this kitchen is WONDERFUL! We don’t need extra storage for play food, as it actually fits! I’m excited for my daughter to enjoy this kitchen for years to come! ... show more

  • LOVE this kitchen
Color: Espresso
I read many reviews on this purchase before making it. When I originally viewed this kitchen set, it was listed at one price and when I decided to purchase it, it was $35 cheaper! It is now $70 more than my purchasing price. So it may be worth watching the price on this. I bought this for my 2 year old son for his birthday. At school, he enjoys the kitchen area and he likes to play with food outside in his play house, so this seemed like the perfect gift. We gave it to him 5 days ago and after reading reviews, we were well aware it would take 4 hours or so to put it together, and it did. Mostly because I started the process. Had my husband done the entire thing, it would have moved quicker! It is truly a QUALITY piece!! Normally things like this, the holes don't line up and we end up having to make our own holes just to get it done. But we didn't have any issues. My only complaint and just a warning... there are screws that are colored for those screws that will be visible once complete. I really really wish they had made them a different letter. I didn't realize this and in the end we had to change some screws around to make it work. So just keep that in mind... use silver anywhere it won't be visible on the outside (does not include the inside of the fridge. My son loved the stove lighting up and the sound effects and he loved all the doors that he could open and close. We have a lot of Melissa and doug Let's Play House items, and they all work well with this set. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to buy a kitchen set. I chose this over the Melissa and doug set primarily for the storage component. I love the open counter, the attached fridge (what ikea's kitchen set lacked), I found it unique it had the washer but my son loves that feature too! And it is a large area for storage. I am SO happy with this purchase and I look forward to years of use!! ... show more

  • Time consuming assembly, but so cute & so worth it!
Color: White
I bought this for my daughter as an early 2nd birthday gift (she’s 20 months now). I can see where assembly could be VERY time consuming. It comes in a million parts. Me, my husband, & grandpa put it together in 1.5 hrs, but we are all very handy. I have put together other KidKraft products before so I am familiar with interpreting the instructions (no words, just pictures). It worked well with me interpreting the instructions, getting the parts & screws needed for each step, & then handing it to my husband & grandpa & telling them what to do with it. Then while they were doing that part, I would get the next step ready. It went so smoothly & only took us 1.5 hrs! (Pay close attention that some screws have two different packets & it’s because some are colored to match the wood & are meant to be exterior screws that show). I kind of wish the washer was a dishwasher instead, but having it as a washer keeps us from having to buy a separate set. I also wish the oven opened from the top, and not from the side. That is confusing to me, especially since the handle makes it seem as though it SHOULD open from the top. Other than that, it is pretty awesome & adorable! Seems pretty sturdy. The ice/water dispenser & the burners having lights & sounds is a nice touch (although my husband is ready for the batteries to die already lol). I plan on adding a few extra touches to it after reading other reviews (sticky battery powered lights, command hooks, & some extra shelves/storage holders). ... show more
