** UPDATE ** I contacted Stelton, and they sent out a replacement unit free of charge. I've been using it everyday and it works perfectly. ** Original ** The rubber seal is defective and leaks liquid into the thermos area when filling, or washing. I discovered this 8 days after Amazon return policy had expired. This could be a one-off defect, or a problem with the entire product line. Its hard to tell from a single experience. If it wasn't for this issue I would give the Cylinda Press 5 stars, but when you pay a lot for an item, you don't expect it to fail in such a simple fashion. I'm trying to contact Stelton directly about a replacement. Let's see if the extra money I paid over and above other coffee press options will be repaid with decent customer service. I'll give them the benefit of doubt until then. ... show more

Beautiful piece and work well on insulating. Our first one broke at the top and cannot be repaired. We bought another one.... Not the greatest solution since it is pretty expensive.

I wanted a large cafetiere. The product description states 8 Cups which is about 1.8 L. I received a 1 L cafetiere. Not sure whether I got the wrong item or whether the description is inaccurate. Nice item but too small for my needs and falsely advertised.
