Features

  • MAKROLON POLYCARBONATE HOUSING: Built with a durable, lightweight chassis that can withstand 11 Gs of impact. The NBR Long Life rubber armoring provides a non-slip, noise-dampening grip that resists oil and harsh weather.
  • 10X MAGNIFICATION POWER: Get more detail at greater distances. This high-power optic is ideal for open-terrain hunting, maritime use, or long-range observation where identifying small details is critical.
  • 50mm LOW-LIGHT OBJECTIVES: Large 50mm objective lenses gather significantly more light, providing a bright, high-contrast image during the "golden hours" of dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active.
  • MAKROLON HOUSING - Durable polycarbonate with NBR rubber armoring creates a lightweight, rugged chassis that withstands 11 Gs of impact. Impervious to harsh conditions for generations of use.
  • SPORTS-AUTO-FOCUS SYSTEM: Calibrate each eyepiece to your vision once and enjoy a sharp image from 20 yards to infinity. This eliminates the need for a focus wheel, allowing for faster target acquisition and easy one-handed operation.
  • FLOATING PRISM SYSTEM: Uses a flexible silicone lens mount to absorb severe shock and impact. This specialized design protects the internal optical alignment from drops and rough handling in extreme environments.
  • STEINER HERITAGE WARRANTY: Backed by a "No Questions Asked" transferable lifetime warranty. If your binoculars are damaged or defective, Steiner will repair or replace them at no charge forever.

Description

The Steiner Military-Marine 10x50 brings professional-grade tactical performance to hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. With its 10x magnification, it allows you to reach out across vast canyons or coastlines to identify targets with surgical precision. The 50mm objective lenses act as light magnets, ensuring that your view remains crisp and vivid even in heavy overcast or deep timber. At the core of this optic is Steiner’s legendary Sports-Auto-Focus™ technology. By removing the center focus wheel, Steiner has created a more durable, simplified system that lets you focus on the landscape rather than your gear. Once set, everything stays in focus, which is a massive advantage when tracking fast-moving game or navigating rough waters. Constructed from military-grade Makrolon, these binoculars are virtually indestructible. They are O-ring sealed to be waterproof and nitrogen-filled to remain fog-proof in extreme temperature changes. Whether you are scouting for elk in the Rockies or navigating a foggy harbor, the Military-Marine 10x50 provides the clarity and ruggedness you need to succeed.

Should I Buy It?

If you're in the market for a pair of durable, high-quality binoculars for long-distance viewing and value optical clarity as well as reliability, the Steiner 10x50 Military Marine Binoculars are a solid investment. However, consider the weight and bulkiness if portability or close-up viewing is crucial for your needs.

  • Wouldn’t change a thing!
Style: 8x30
These things are worth every penny. Chrystal clear image and very good color without much in the way of chromatic aberration. The “Auto Focus” is a bit of a misnomer as you do have to manually adjust the focus on each eye, but this allows you to set them to different focal depths and not need to mess with them much within that range of distances. It sort of tricks your brain into making the image mostly in focus within the set ranges. It’s very intuitive and easy to set on the fly. The objective lease covers seal very securely but you won’t have to wrestle them loose, and they’re captive so you can just pop them loose and they’ll hang on to the binoculars out of the way without interfering with your view. Rear caps are one piece and not the most secure, but that can be remedied with a ranger band or elastic hair tie across the bridge and they’ll be fine. Comes with a pretty awesome desert camo padded soft case and tan neck strap as well. Overall 10/10 they feel rugged and well made. Super functional and you won’t feel like you are at a loss of value. ... show more

  • Compare these to 8X30 and 10X50 Steiner Military Marine models
Style: 7x50
I have had a pair of the Steiner 8X30 Military Marine for years and love them, they are terrific, lightweight, compact and sharp in daylight but the small objectives are not ideal for night time or astronomy viewing, you will get some ghostly halos from bright objects in the night. But if you are planning on hiking or biking with binocs then you should probably choose the compact version over these 7X50 full size ones which are twice as big and heavy. I purchased both the 7X50 and the 10X50 to compare primarily for quick viewing of the night sky in conjunction with our telescope. I chose to keep the 7X50 and returned the 10X50. There are good reasons why 7X50 is the marine standard. The 10X magnification does not make much difference, the 7X seemed noticeably clearer and is much easier to hold steady which is more important to good viewing than the magnification. The image is super sharp and bright from edge to edge of the view, IMHO it really could not be appreciably better at any price point. Unless you're going into combat or the most brutal conditions these are as good as you will ever need. We now keep these full size binocs in our RV for our general primary and astronomical use and the compact 8X30 under the seat in our towed car for our mobile expeditions. The best of all viewing worlds! ... show more

  • High quality, heavy
Style: 7x50
Wanted these for a long time. Finally pulled the trigger. They are heavy but that makes viewing more stable. Not something I would want to hike a 14er with though. Astigmatic blurring at viewing edge is minimal. Great optics!

  • Price drop just after I got delivery.
Style: 7x50
The binoculars are great, but the price went down just a few days after I got them.

  • Your proper eye relief to the eye cups is critical to a clear image.
Style: 8x30
Pretty lite to carry. Decent case, straps and lens protectors. The sports-auto viewing works as described

  • Solid
Style: 10x50
Super nice clarity, built to last a lifetime. They are full size and some might not like that for packing, but I don't have any issues with it. Thanks

  • Well worth the money if used during the hours of daylight.
Style: 8x30
I bought these to replace an older pair if cheaper binos. My experience with Steiner optics came from using them in the Army. They are well built and for the cost they work very well, however they are not MILSPEC. With that said, the image quality is very good, they gather light well in lowlight conditions, however when a another light source enters the field of view, such as an aircraft or a set of car headlights, the distortion created blurs the field of vision badly. My actual MILSPEC Steiner's don't have that happen. And my Kowa's, Vortex's and Swarovski's don't do that either, but in the light of day they are very, very good. ... show more

  • Outstanding Binoculars with really clear glass and great field of view.
Style: 7x50
I wanted a better pair of binoculars than the old Bushnell's that I've had for awhile. Decided to get the Steiner 7x50 Military Marine model seeing as they were the civilian version of the tried and true military issued ones. The binoculars are large but do not disappoint. Right away, I could tell they were of quality and heavy duty. The glass is extremely clear, and each of the lenses can be focused to the the individual users eyesight. Great binoculars and would highly recommend. If you were prior service, it also adds a good bit of nostalgia. ... show more
