    • After many attempts, I finally have a pair of headphones I love!

I purchased these headphones a couple months ago and I waited to give the review till now so that I could thoroughly test them and give an accurate review. I love them. When gaming, my friends have said that my voice is coming through much more clearly and with less fuzz and background noise. There is a mute button for turning the mic off at your convenience. The over ear design with the adjustable strap is very comfortable and I don't have any pain on my ears after a long session of gaming which is something I always look for in a pair of gaming headphones. Other headphones that sit directly on the ear are only good for me for about an hour before it hurts my ears. The padding is also very soft and sits gently on your head without a lot of pressure. I've been described as too rough on my stuff but I haven't broken these headphones so I can say that while flexible, they are quite durable. The adjustable strap helps to prevent over extension of the frame and too much bending. I like that the mic is retractable but I would have preferred it was detachable. I don't view this as a design flaw so much as a personal preference though so I don't think that should factor into the score. If I could change one thing, I would either remove, or change the design of the dial that adjust your chat to game audio ratio. They are parallel to each other and I often confuse them for one another. If they would make one of them adjust smoothly while the other clicks as it adjust, it would be a difference enough to help remember which is which. Or if they didn't make them perfectly parallel to each other so it would be harder to confuse them. Many times I have tried to turn my audio down just to find out that I turned the mic chat up. If your looking for a pair of headphones to listen to music with, these have great sound quality but there are probably better options for you in the same price range. If you're looking for a pair of gaming headphones, then look no further, cause once you buy these, you'll be a life long steel series customer! I've purchased 3 different headsets this last year, ranging from 80 dollars to 230 dollars, and i can tell you with confidence that a high price tag doesn't always mean your getting a good product. But with this headset you don't have to worry, they are worth every penny! It's important to note that I also paired them with the Steel Series software to get the most out of the audio output and input which you can download online at no cost. ... show more

Wanted to love the product. The feel was excellent the installation was easy. But after connecting and using for a couple weeks I notice multiple times for no reason there's this weird digital feedback that chops up the audio and gives a static sound from the headphones. It's very unpleasant and after it's happened enough times it's clearly a device issue. I plug in my other Sennheiser headphones and they have no issue. Excellent headphones!! I’ve tried many different brands at many different price ranges! Most just aren’t loud enough, or they’re loud enough but the sound is all jumbled together! Not these!!! These headphones are more than loud enough and also crystal clear! It separates the different sounds during gameplay, flawlessly! You can really hear everything, clearly! Great bass and treble balance as well as mid range! Best I’ve ever heard! The set up is simple and battery life is outstanding! You can’t go wrong with these headphones! They check the box of every feature you want in a set of wireless headphones easily! The only thing I could say that’s negative is the Bluetooth connection reliability! I seem to have to constantly reconnect the Bluetooth function to the headset companion app! Other than that they’re truly an amazing sounding headset!!! Seriously disappointing...I was a longtime user of Steelseries and this is a MASSIVE downgrade. I used the Steelseries Arctis 3 for SEVEN years and this is somehow 100x worse despite being GENERATIONS ahead! The sound is extremely low quality, I can barely listen to my songs and my game sounds were unclear. Playing around in the equalizer barely fixes the issues. I'm not a sound expert. I look to use my headset without having to play around for hours in equalizer and looking up presets. That's just the bare minimum for me, but this doesn't even pass that. I actually looked up a preset on YouTube, which made it SLIGHTLY passable. Microphone? It might as well not even come with one with how terrible quality it is. I sounded like I was underwater, scratchy, and like I drove a car over it before using it. I messed with the settings in the software and it absolutely did not fix anything. Unsalvageable. The only redeeming quality of this headset is the wireless feature and the color, but just save your time and your money and find a different headset. ... show more
