  • Very happy with this chair
Color: Black Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
As a professional day-trader, I am sitting at my trading station for many hours a day. I needed to replace a leather executive office chair that was worn out and that was causing considerable back and rear-end pain (I am of thin build with little rear end padding :-)). I considered the Steelcase Leap 2 vs the Hermon Miller Aeron. I chose the Steelcase because of the more traditional cloth material vs the mesh and reviews I'd read about the comfort of mesh for people like me. The return policy was really attractive as well even though I did not need it. The Leap chair has made a huge difference in dealing with my chronic back and rear end pain. Key to this is the really flexible adjustments for seat depth, back stops, back force, lower back firmness, and lumbar height. I'm very happy with my decision to go with the LEAP v2. ... show more

  • Does not feel like $1500 build quality
Color: Barley Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
So many letdowns in this chair. I'm not very satisfied with this purchase. 1. Seat and back padding. It feels like cheap foam that will break down completely in a few years. I was expecting something that felt more like chairs in offices I've worked in over the years. The seat also feels--flat, like it's not contoured for a human butt at all. It *looks* fine, but the padding is so soft that when you sit down, it flattens out. I can squeeze hard enough with my fingers to bottom out the padding. Really unacceptable for a chair this expensive and I'm sure I'll wind up getting a separate pad eventually. 2. Headrest. The arms that attach the headrest to the chair are *plastic*. They flex easily and feel like they could be easily snapped. 3. Lumbar support. The adjustment sliders and stops feel like more cheap plastic, and the levers sometimes slide down to the lowest setting. 4. Arm rests. The edges are squared off and not supported well. I can tell the plastic will eventually crack and the padding will start flaking off. I'm also worried that the stop for the reclining back will wear out, but I can't say for sure since the mechanism is enclosed. Good things about the chair: Lumbar support is really flexible overall. The optional wheels for hard floors are really nice. (The chair 'legs' do stick out far enough to make them a toe menace, however.) Arm rest adjustment is nicely flexible. Seat height adjusts low enough to account for my stubby legs. ... show more

  • Love the chair HATE THE HEADREST
Color: Rouge Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
I was able to adjust the chair easily using the on-line guides and it is really comfortable. Then I leaned back a little and realized that there is no way to feel comfortable with the head rest. If you look at it from the side view it pushes your head forward, even if you try to make it fit at the base of your skull. I also ordered a red chair and received a black one but these days it seems best to just take what you get. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Color: Chocolate Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
This chair is expensive, make no mistake. But I sit at my office desk for hours at a time and I needed a comfortable, adjustable, high quality desk chair. The Steelcase Leap is all of that and more. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy this chair again. C. Drake Fallon, NV

  • absolute garbage
Color: Chocolate Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
I purchased this chair through the Steelcase website ~2 years ago and it's awful. There's no cushion for your seat which has resulted in hip and leg pain. I eventually purchased an orthopedic chair cushion just to make this chair tolerable. Save your money and go with Herman Miller (this is the company my office uses and they're very comfortable). ... show more

  • Nice butt...
Color: Black Buzz2 Fabric Size: Standard Carpet Casters
The chair is built well with very nice features. Unfortunately, the seat is the most uncomfortable I have ever used, and for the amount of money was expecting a more comfortable chair.

  • Best Chair Ever

My son works from home and he loves this chair!

  • I’ve owned some great chairs... this is the best
Color: Sunrise Buzz2 Fabric Size: The Soft Hard Floor Casters
I am an illustrator and spend many hours sitting... often through the night, sometimes through many nights to finish a project on time. A quality chair is essential equipment... more so than a computer or laptop. The first top-quality chairs I bought (30 years ago) were Hag... the Capisco (which I still have and use) and another full-size version with a headrest (I don’t recall the name). I finally wore out the full-size version and bought an Aeron. My wife fell in love with that one so I bought the Leap. Of all these great chairs, I think the Leap is the best. I love the Aeron as well, but it’s not as supportive in my opinion. The capisco is not really an office chair ... it’s best for work that involves a lot of movement. The Leap is great for extended hours. I wish I had bought the headrest version. For lengthy work on a computer, an adjustable headrest is extremely important imo... as is proper desk height, armrest height and computer screen height, as these affect the position of your body, and you want as natural and relaxed a position as possible. Footrests can also be a big help. I truly loved my headrest Hag to death, but honestly the Leap is a better chair. Buy less and buy better... a chair is vitally important to your health. Don’t skimp... this chair will last you 30 years or more. ... show more
