Bought these fashionable shoes because I wanted to try a work boot with a steel toe and I didn't want to go all out in case I couldn't wear. But these actually feel comfortable enough after a few hours breaking them in. Be sure to measure your foot "heel to big toe" and select your shoe based on their size guide. I normally order 8.5 to 9, but using their chart I went with 7.5 and it fit perfectly!

While these are for men, as a female I wear a 8.5, so I purchased these in a size 7. When I first tried these on, I was very impressed with how sturdy they appeared and comfortable they were. The fit was just right when wearing thick socks, but even without, the laces can be tighten for a snugger fit. I do a lot of work in my unfinished basement/garage that has no heat or AC. The cement floors are hard and cold in the winter and I wanted workboots that would keep my feet warm. Also, needed boots that would work well in dirt, mud, and on gravel surfaces when working in the yard. After one full day out in the yard, my feet were surprising sore. I thought maybe I just needed to break them in. But the 2nd day, I could definitely feel the cushions in the soles had compressed and I could feel the lumps from the gravel drive, as well as, just about any lump, branch, rock I walked over in my yard. These will certainly not last the season for yard work. While not as comfortable as the first day, they do keep my feet warm enough on the basement floor. So, for the $40 I paid I'll keep them for that. But will need something more durable for the yard.
