  • Great fire pit for pellets
*Edit* I figured out how to keep the fire going. Once it starts to die down - but before the flame is extinguished - add a layer of pellets, then hit the fire with some lighter fluid. The flame will ratchet back up with minimal smoke. ** First would like to note that I’ve only used this with wood stove pellets, not logs, so I can’t comment on how it burns wood. With pellets it is smokeless as described. It’s very easy to light with either lighter fluid or tiki torch fuel. You can also get a gel lighter fuel which works well also. It puts out a ton of heat, so much so that I usually have to move my chair back. The only downside to this pit is that it lasts about an hour before the pellets are burned up, and there is no effective way to keep it burning. I’ve tried adding pellets both while the flame is going well and after it dies down, but it tends to smoke and while the pellets burn it doesn’t last for long. Having said that this is a great pit, super easy to light, and easy to clean as the pellets don’t leave much ash. Depending on where you are you should be able to get decent pellets as tractor supply or your favorite big box home store. Lots of local options as well if you live in the NE, and prices are better if you buy bags by the ton (50 bags). ... show more

  • Review from a cheap bachelor father. ;D
Size: S(13inch) Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Ok. So you are here as you are trying to find a low cost entry into portable smokeless firepits and I believe you truly found it here. And my review comes after 9 uses. This review will help you get what you are looking for out of tbis. - don't bother wirh anything but wood fuel pellets. I don't mean smoker pellets. I mean the 40 lb bags of pellet fuel at your local box store or ace hardware. They will run you 6-8 bucks. These are low ash and low smoke. Don't even bother with anything else. Other pellets like cherry or apple wood are for cooking=smoking and will not be smokeless. They also ash more - To light the pellets, I use a 1/8-1/4 cup of tiki torch fuel poured onto pellets before lighting. It is most practical and smoke free way to do this. - the stand sits inside the unit when transporting, and leaves enough room for 2-3" deep of pellets. And carries easy in the included carry bag. No need to bring pellets separately. Just load them, and a little torch fuel in before taking off -don't bother loading with more than 2-2.5" of pellets. There is technology to the air flow through the chamber. Overloading will create an undesirable burn and will not last longer or be better quality. You will have to stir to keep fire going a bit longer. It does not make it better, and it may cut out on you altogether due to suffocation. - when following the recommendation, I get a beautiful smoke free burn for about 45 minutes that we absolutely love. It burns true and full the entire time, then ends fairly quickly, consumes the pellets, and leaves minimal ash in the bottom stand. - I have brought tbis to the beach and other places. And it is the ultimate addition to an amazing date, with no trace of smoke odor. - I marked 4 stars as it is already showing some rusting and wear. And because of the learning curve. I am going to purchase some high heat spray paint to try to maintain this as long as possible. There have also been times where I have wanted to keep the fire going for longer than 1 hour. I will add more pellets, but it doesn't burn the same, as it begins to suffocate. It's not as easy as simply pouring in more pellets, or stirring. I honestly have already gotten my money's worth out of this. Think of this as a tool to create some magical 1 hour moments, and not as a tool to use for longer events. It's fire. So it is warm. But this more for mood than function. And again, don't even bother with using anything but pellets and a little liquid lighter or torch fuel. Using paper or tinder to try to light brings smoke and smell and takes a while. Any wood will bring smoke smell and a struggling flame. Enjoy. For reference, I have a size 14 shoe. ... show more

  • Easy setup - clean - smokeless pit! Awesome!
Size: S(13inch) Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. We got the 13” model and it’s the Perfect size for our 240sq ft deck - gives good amount of heat and was up and running in less then a couple minutes. I’d highly recommend picking up some wood pellets for less smoke and easy clean up. ( unflavored from hardware store) you can get about 40lbs for 8 bucks. Extremely happy with the product - I’d put a Stee table under the pit because I was uneasy on putting it on my deck. It gives a lot of heat so I’d would put either a cement block/rocks or metal/steel stand to rest it on. Highly recommend product ... show more

  • Great outdoor fire pit- but it does rust
This is a nice fire pit for an intimate outdoor setting. I use mine on my roof terrace. The way it is designed, when the fire is going, it does not produce debilitating smoke, it's pretty cool. It puts off a lot of heat too. There are holes at the bottom, when the fire is out and all is ash, you can move the ash around to fall into the bottom ash collector. The top lifts off the bottom base, and you can easily empty the ash. I recommend this fire pit. 2/5/2025 Update- I've had this for right at 2 years. I keep it on my roof deck. I have it in the cover but the cover has deteriorated because of sun and holes have developed because of the brittle condition of the cover. The fire pit has gotten wet a little because of the cover hole and rusting has run rampant. The lip of the bottom that holds the ashes is nearly completely deteriorated. It was good while it lasted, and looks like it won't last too much longer. Now it likely would be find if it didn't get wet, but I didn't anticipate to bring the fire pit inside if it were covered. ... show more
