Well made. Good quality, fit well, as these are genuine Staub products that have been purposely fabricated to fit the double handled Staub pans. It is particularly beneficial for the smaller 10" griddle pan because the pans cast iron handles heat up on the stove top because they are closer to the heat source. Though designed to handle 400 degrees F., these silicone handles are not as useful for putting the pan in and out of the oven as oven gloves are a much safer bet. That being said, the stove top benefits alone make these silicone grips worthwhile. The way we view it is that we bought our Staub pan and expect to use it for years, so we felt the additional cost to get silicone handles that are well made and are a snug fit for our Staub pans, makes the investment worthwhile. ... show more

I went on an internet search trying to find silicone handles for my Staub enameled cast iron. I love Staub and I prefer to use the griddles over skillets with long handles. My stove top isn’t very big. The handles do get hot. I love these, they fit the handles of the skillets and griddles very well (the ones with the open loop handle). It helped taking out the dish from the oven easily. However I felt its a bit loose and didn't lock in tight to the dimensions of the handle which I expected. Hope it works for a long time. Anyway it works saving your fingers from burning while touching it to take it off the heat.

My experience with these flexible, silicon handle covers hasn’t been stellar; these may be useful on smaller coquettes but they fold right off the handles if you carry a larger filled pot with them. A great way to completely break your expensive clay sink for sure (mine is an old stainless steel but I am renovating and this experience has me reconsidering the enameled sink I wanted). I suppose these would assist in moving a full pot from one burner to another but they also lose their small amount of rigidity when on the hot surface of the handles pretty fast. I won’t use these on anything more than a half-full 5-quart and then only for location adjustment, not carrying or serving. ... show more
