These mitts are great for getting anything out of the oven. No issues with slipping or any heat getting through. Haven't had any issues with burn marks either. Super easy to clean as I just through them in the wash and they are good as new. Great mitts that have been way more durable than other comparable cloth mitts.

I have a couple of Caraway pans, and I've always been pleased with the general look, feel, and style of their stuff. These fit with the brand image and complement everything nicely. The colors are nice, warm, and even, and the fabric used and the way these were put together is obvious that these are meant to last a long time. However, this is definitely a 'form over function' purchase. If you must have Carway, go for it. If you prefer function, these are probably not your greatest option. Why? If you're using these, you're probably reaching for something in an oven that's going to come out scorching hot. Take, for example, the Dutch Baby I made tonight. I use a cast iron skillet to make them. The temperature is 450, and you heat the skillet as the oven is warming. You then remove the skillet from the oven and pour in your batter. Taking the hot pan out of the oven, I IMMEDIATELY noticed heat building up rapidly. I'm fairly sure that I wouldn't have been able to hold the skillet for more than 10 seconds before it became impossible for me to keep holding. I also noticed that it doesn't go very far up the length of my arm - these go to just a bit below my palm. That's not too a big deal, but it could be if I needed to reach a little deeper into the oven. Overall, I like these and will continue to use them. But I'll just note that I'll need to be more cognizant of how long I'm going to be able to hold something.

These are awful. Beautiful color, but no more helpful than a dishcloth in protecting from heat. Anything 400+ burns straight through the material & I can barely get my pan from oven to the stove top. Forget letting my kids use them - which is what I was hoping to do since they cover the full hand. I would have returned them, but my husband bought them as a gift & the return window had elapsed.

These mitts went beyond my expectations for oven mitts. Not only did they work really well in their job of not letting something burn your hands by being perfectly padded, the canvas fabric was handsome (handsome mitts? Yep. They do that) and the overall design made these easy to get a grip on previously mentioned hot thing. I have arthritis in my hands and an overly bulky oven mitt isn't my friend. With all that bulk, I have trouble getting a grip on my hot thing, then ohhhnoo, broken Pyrex. It's depressing. Ok, so, let's talk funds - these aren't cheap. However, I fully anticipate that they are durable. I know that I'll have to launder them after I miss my grab and one heads right into the chicken & cheese casserole, because that's something I do. I figure, with their directions of machine wash/tumble dry, that the casserole incident will just be a messy memory. So to sum up: Wow, are these nice, feel nice on, thick enough that my hands are well protected but thin enough that I won't drop that lid to my vintage Pyrex baking set and dang it, where do I even FIND a replacement lid (Answer: Amazon, from a very helpful small business seller - for $32. Amazon rocks).

but these don't do it for me. First, these are all fabric and have no silicone grip. When I'm handling hot, glass dishes, it makes me feel better having a solid grip. However, the bigger issue is that I could feel the heat coming through the mitts after about 6 seconds, so much that I had to put the baking pan down. The metal pan came out of a 400 degree toaster oven. I immediately picked up the same baking pan with my usual grip oven mitts and didn't feel the heat holding it for the same amount of time. These look pretty and seem to be made well, but they're not nearly as functional as the ones I have despite feeling thicker and more cumbersome. And they have no fabric hook? I've never seen oven mitts without a hook to hang them on. Also, being cream, I'm afraid they will get very dirty, fast. I'll stick to my Caraway baking dishes.

These look beautiful but honestly are not heat protective at all. They just arrived, I slow cooked chicken at 375- the lowest I probably ever cook anything (I bake bread every 3 days at 500) and honestly taking the chicken out I felt the heat more than I ever have through an oven mitt 😂 I wouldn’t even chance it with my bread baking I imagine it’ll just burn right through, they look lovely but probably gonna return- definitely for fair weather cooks

I am probably Caraway’s #1 fan and have never been disappointed with their items. These caraway oven mitts really come in handy. They are nice and think so you dont have to worry about burning your hands. I have taken items out the oven that was set at 500 degrees and felt no heat at all. They are easy to clean if needed by just throwing them in the washing machine. Caraway really did it again and they have a fan for life.
