I am giving this all 5 stars right after I installed it. I really hope this lasts because I really like the results and it was easy to install. I've included the step by step progress as I was installing this. Let me first say that this is located in a VERY high spot in the dining room area. I am a very petite lady doing this task alone so the hardest part is transforming my little body into a tall octopus. I love the light this window allows through but as summer quickly approaches so was the heat coming through that window. I knew I needed to do something about it. After a lot of reading of reviews, I settled on this one since the 35.4 Inch X 6.5 Feet size matched perfect to this window. I also watched a lot of Youtube videos and found that the secret to an easy install is using a lot of soapy water. This kit comes with a doll size water bottle and squeegee which are a waste of time. Get a large spray bottle and make up your soapy solution. I also used an old gift card to get the bubbles out and stick it down. To help myself with needing extra hands I used painter's tape to tack it to the wall and I got to removing the protective sheet. At first, I was very gentle removing it, then out of frustration I just went to town and pulled the protected layer off the entire sheet. I'm glad I did because it was very durable as I tacked it and sprayed it with the soapy solutions...window, front, and back...GO CRAZY!!! It was very easy to stick it to the glass. I used a expo knife and cut the excess off so I can position it better. Then I went to completing the detailed trimming. This tint is clean, durable, and thick, and I felt the immediate result of the heat and light being filtered. It is also a great option for this type of window since the shape is difficult to work with. As you look out the window, it looks like a cloudy day, not so bright and when you look in from outside it's silver reflects the clouds floating by.

This is super easy! The price is very good for the great quality. The film reflects from outside and looks excellent. No issues with the installation. Clean window with soap and water, dry using a clean no lint cloth, spray with water, line up edges, press out water with squeegee or a card (like a credit card), trim off excess. Order enough, you will end up making all the windows you can once you see how good this looks Cut to fit oversized before applying. The film itself is very durable and smooth. Being static cling is great because you can easily remove it if necessary. It does hold very well to window without peeling. I am already ordering more. Infact I am right now ordering my fourth!

I mainly bought this product due to the static cling application. We live in an apartment and I didn’t want to deal with the glue on traditional tint when the the tint needs peeled off. The reflective side is another great benefit living in an apartment. Now I don’t have nosy neighbors staring into our apartment. So far I’ve had two neighbors reach out for the link so they can buy some also. I highly recommend buying a window tinting kit, and a large squeegee. I bought my kit for 8.99 and got the squeegee at Walmart. After squeegeeing a majority of the film, the small card that comes with a tint kit works great for an even straight line cut and doing a final squeegee pass on the film. I’ve noticed that you always want a sharp blade with this film due to its thickness. If it’s not sharp it will either snag the film and make an ugly edge, or it will only cut halfway through. Take your time and follow the instructions. The only cons I noticed were 1: being static cling, it loves hair. If you have animals I highly suggest you drench your window and drench the the back of the tint. Prep is key in most tinting situations 2: it seemed to crease easy on me while unrolling and taking off the protective back. I haven’t tried using heat to get the creases out like traditional window tint, but I do know that I can’t just squeegee out some of the creases Overall it’s an awesome product for what it is, installation is fairly easy, the shade is great, the privacy of the reflective side is a huge bonus, and it helps the kids be able to nap easy. We’re waiting on the next billing cycle to see if we were able to save a few dollars but you can feel the heat reduction during the middle of the day.
