    • hard to peel apart
what SHOULD have taken me 5-10 minutes took me half an HOUR maybe more.. I was ready to scotch tape the stuff to my window. I have long fingernails.. but could NOT for the life of me get this stuff separated. I ended up using a straight pin which worked. It does darken the room which makes it cooler... but for this reason I would not buy this again. ... show more

    • Works well, cutting is tough!
So my partner and I got these to black out our rental house bedroom, which has older windows that are all different window pane sizes. Measuring out the correct size to cut was pretty tricky and once installed the gaps are very noticeable, but that's only because they work so well. They block out most if not all the light, and keep our bedroom insulated, which is HUGE here in Phoenix. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a blacked-out room and heat insulation. I would just also recommend curtains to cover up any holes :D ... show more

This product does a great job at blocking the sun, plus it was easy enough to measure, cut and apply. The problem is that it made the window HOT and it was only 47° outside. I live in the desert, so I'm glad I discovered this now, rather than when it ends up cracking the window during the heat of summer!     • Do not use on home windows
This product becomes *scorching hot* in direct sunlight. Do not use on insulated double paned glass for risk of damage due to poor internal temperature balance. This product made my room hotter by transferring intense sunlit heat into my bedroom despite blocking the light. It's quite finnicky to work with. Peeling off the adhesive layer requires you to wrinkle/twist the corner violently until the backing begins to separate. Once you get it started it was pretty easy to work with as long as you follow directions and wipe the surfaces as described. I only kept it up for a few days so I cannot attest to how long it stays attached, however upon removal it seemed to be stuck pretty good so I have no reason to think it would just fall off. ... show more

BE CAUTIOUS ORDERING THIS ITEM!! I ordered the size 78.7 inches long, but what I got was a poorly rolled up roll of two small pieces that added up to only 45inches long! One end of it was badly wrinkled from it being rolled up in a slant. I assume it was an item that was returned, but before the previous buyer returned it they cut off what they needed and returned what was left. And the seller has the gall to just put another label on it and resell it without inspecting it first. I can’t even return it since I can’t repack the item because the packaging had so much tape on it I had to cut it up to get the item out. Too bad for me… so I decided to just use what I got. The product itself gets the job done pretty well. I bought this to cover the windows in the garage and it blocks out light like it should. I followed the instructions it came with: cut to size, clean the windows, peel off the back, spray the window with soapy water, and apply. It was very easy to install, and if you mess up you can easily slide it into place. There were quite a bit of bubbles from the outside but since it’s just the garage I didn’t mind too much. I was going to give only 1 star because I didn’t get the full 78.7 inches that I ordered. But because the amount I did get was just enough for what I needed and it does work well for what I got, I gave it 2 stars. I was hoping to use the extra length for other windows but now I can’t. Hopefully I can at least get a partial refund for the amount I was missing. ... show more
