This Start-X Remote Starter Kit is a great upgrade, especially if you enjoy the luxury of not climbing into a car that feels like either a pizza oven or a walk-in freezer, depending on the season. Awesome buy!! I have been begging for remote car starter for over 20 years (never been wealthy enough for that type of Luxury in a vehicle) and my fiance finally made all My dreams come true by purchasing this one on Amazon for Christmas! It was super simple to install. He had it done in a matter of 20 minutes if that, and it works like a charm. Hot or cold all I have to do is hit the lock button on my original key fob three times and it starts. It actually works from quite a distance. I used to be able to start it from inside my work and we were the second suite in a brick building with the parking lot on the end. I also love that I can get out of the car, and start it with my fob that way it can be running but the doors will still be locked. On my car if it's running and I get out I cannot lock the doors and therefore someone can easily jump in and run off with it, but not now! Now if I need to just run in the gas station really fast or want to warm up my car in the mornings I don't have to stress nearly as much about somebody possibly stealing my vehicle. I really cannot praise this thing enough. It's been over 6 months and It was worth every penny!!!

Easy install plug and play. Works well -range limited to your original keys range. Click 3 times to start- no exterior lights turn on though when car starts I thought that was odd

Easy install for a 2016 Mazda 6 GT! Battery negative off. Then, remove two screws and use the wedge tool to split the steering column shroud. Swap the connectors and throw everything back together! It took two attempts but the programming was smooth after a reset. It's working a day in, but the automatic down feature of all of my windows has stopped working since installing the module. I can still roll everything down, just lost the auto feature. I have yet to reach out to support as I installed it on a Saturday, but if it's remedied, I'll change my rating to 5 as this is a pretty affordable DIY kit for people not looking to drop almost $800 on a dealership install. The package came with minimal instructions, but you don't need much more than a YouTube video if you don't already know what your doing. Being able to use the original fob for my car was a plus also as I hate having a million things on my keyring. I'll reach out to support to see if the window issue is something common or just a slight programming issue and change my review accordingly if it is remedied. If it isn't, I still may consider using it for now I til I find something better, but it is annoying to add a new feature to a car only to lose another. Update: after a few resets the issue with the windows cleared. Could be due to the battery disconnect possibly, but I've never had it happen before. Been using this for a few weeks now with no issues!

Very attractive initially as super easy to install. It took around 30 minutes and after was fully functional. I asked a question about the maximum length the car could run after initializing the device and got a quick answer of 15 minutes max from their tech support. Unfortunately since then it seems there are a few glitches occurring during use. Initially I got a "Key Fob battery low" warning from my 2020 Mazda CX 5. My fob battery is about a week old so that was some kind of undesired interaction with the programming of the device and the control system on the vehicle. The fob started fine a short time later. The same warning occurred again yesterday. I also noted that my electronic outside door openers stopped working for a short period a couple of times. Again these problems clear after a short while or using the remote to open the doors instead of the buttons on the door handles seems to clear the issue. Today I got into the car after warming for the full 15 minutes and a warning about cruise control not operational below 20 miles an hour showed up on the dashboard. It stayed on at much higher than 20 mile an hour speeds and finally cleared after I pushed the info button on the steering wheel. So it seems pretty glitchy at this point. I have sent messages to their tech support and have not heard back after several days.
