- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing lock 3X on your existing OEM key fob. Press lock 3X again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Awesome! Installed this in my 2022 ram 5500 rollback tow truck and it works like a champ! Easy to do once you understand the process. There's a very helpful video on YouTube on how to do it. The only thing he forgot to mention is after you program it on the computer, you hook it back up in the truck and YOU MUST TURN KEY ON TO ACCESSORIES or it will not register! So hook it up after PC configuration, push the push to start button twice without pushing brake pedal. Flight on box will go green... But even if it doesn't, give it a second and turn key off. Shut doors and give it a go! Worth every penny seems how the Dodge dealer wants 1200.00 for remote start system.

After reading about this on a Ram group on FB, I took the chance. I was surprised when I had called my local dealer and they said it would be over $700 to install a remote start on my truck, when some have it right from the factory. It seemed like I just needed a new fob and them to activate the software but they made it seem like a big deal. Come to find out with this kit you can use your existing factory fob and besides some quick plug and play on connectors and programming, you're off and running in only like 30 min. On a 1 to 10 difficulty scale to install, I would put this around a 2. (1 is the easiest). If you have access to a 7mm wrench or socket (you can likely use an adjustable or plyers in a pinch), and a PC to program it...you're good. Follow the directions exactly as they state and things go smoothly. Highly recommend for those wanting remote start on a non-OEM remote start Ram 2500 2019-2022.

This product works EXACTLY as described. Setup is quick, and install is easy. I was a little leery of the simplicity in the description, but it really was that easy. By my understanding, ALL RAM 2500 trucks are wired for remote start, but not installed. The only issue that I have had, sometimes the computer does not wake up pressing the "Lock" button. So I started pressing the "Unlock" button first then the "Lock" button three times. Works every time. BEST MONEY EVER SPENT!!!

This product works well, BUT as someone else previously stated the issues everyone else is having is because they are not following the install instructions to the T. I went into the install knowing I had to follow them very specifically and still ended up trying to call for support it was while I was waiting on hold that I was reading the instructions again but more slowly that I saw I had missed small details and then was able to complete the step. At some point towards the end I had messed up another step and ended up starting from step 1, but I will say once I knew what I had to do redoing it from step one the very last time I did everything in probably 5-10 minutes. Super easy just read the instructions carefully! Works great!

Takes a little time, but easy, use a computer after installing the wiring which the instruction and on you tube helps. after updating the configuration from the pc then final hook up 3 clicks of locking the doors of vehicle, the vehicle will start their is a little pause only seconds for it to start. but it works. worth the money compare to factory installation

The starter works like a champ and is pretty easy to install and configure. It took me a bit longer than it should because I didn't slow down during the programming phase and actually didn't program it the first time. They aren't specific in the instructions on where each plug goes into the module so take your time when plugging it in and follow the steps below so you don't waste time. Other than those minor things, I am very happy with the install and my truck now has remote start. 1: Create your account on the flashing site first. Do this before you even disconnect anything in your truck. This will save you some time. 2: connecting the harness is pretty easy but if you are a big guy like me, it doesn't hurt to have a smaller buddy or your wife there to help you reach everything. 3: When connecting the harness to the module, connect the black lead first. I then connected the larger white lead (on the other side and then the blue lead next to the white one. I didn't do this in the right order the first time so I had to disconnect everything and start over. 4: When you have followed the first five steps in the instructions and are ready to remove the module for the programming phase, remove the connectors in the reverse order removing the black lead last. If you don't do it in the right order, you will have to start over. 5: Programming is really easy but for some reason the site for programming only works with IE. I went through every browser since IE is deprecated so save yourself the hassle and just go straight to IE (if using windows). 6: After programming, remember to connect the black lead first when reconnecting it to your truck. Follow the last of the programming steps and you should now have remote start. PROS: A lot cheaper that going to a dealer or third party installer Works with the OEM key fob so there is no added expense. Pretty easy install as long as you read and follow the instructions. CONS: Their instructions need to be written better. Fairly easy to figure out the blanks (at least it was for me). However, if you don't pay attention, you could cause yourself a lot of grief and wasted time. The site for programming their module only works with Internet Explorer. This may not be an option when Windows 11 is released which is soon.

Installed this on a 2023 Dodge ram 3500 dually. installation was actually really easy and programing went just like it said it did but follow the instructions. Was a lot cheaper option the factory remote start. The only thing I have not figured out is when it is running and you unlock the doors if your open the drivers first sometimes it will stay running other times it will die. Its not a big deal since I'm at the truck and can just restart it but not sure how the procedure is supposed to go. Love this thing in the winter.
