Was not super easy to install but did work great. Make sure you have a computer or laptop. My wife loves it when it's cold. I was amazed that I could install it and only took about 90 minutes. I highly recommend.

I was able to install the Start-X car remote starter kit this morning and overall I’m very happy with the purchase. If you’re looking for an affordable, factory-style remote start without paying dealership prices, this kit is hard to beat. The biggest advantage is the installation. Since it’s designed specifically for compatible vehicles, the plug-and-play harness makes the process much easier than traditional aftermarket remote starters. There’s no cutting or splicing wires, and using the factory key fob means you don’t have to carry an extra remote around. The entire installation took me about an hour, and the included video instructions made it straightforward. Once installed, it works exactly as expected. Starting the vehicle with a simple sequence on the factory key fob worked flawlessly. It will be especially convenient during hot summer afternoons and cold mornings, allowing the cabin to reach a comfortable temperature before I even get inside. Reliability remains to be seen but it has thus far started the vehicle consistently every time I’ve used it. That said, there are a few reasons I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The biggest limitation is that you’re restricted to the range of your factory key fob. If you’re parked farther away, such as in a large office building or airport parking lot, the range can be limiting unless you purchase an additional long-range or smartphone module. It also lacks some of the premium features found on more expensive systems, such as customizable settings or built-in smartphone control. Another minor downside is that installation, while relatively simple, still requires removing interior trim panels and carefully following the instructions. Anyone uncomfortable working around vehicle electronics may still prefer professional installation, although most DIYers shouldn’t have much trouble. Overall, the Start-X remote start delivers excellent value for the money. It offers OEM-like functionality, easy installation, dependable performance, and eliminates the need for an extra key fob. While it isn’t packed with premium features, it excels at doing exactly what it’s designed to do. If you’re looking for a reliable, budget-friendly remote starter that integrates seamlessly with your vehicle, I would definitely recommend it.

Installed into my wife's 2016 Acura MDX in less than two hours without issues. Read the instructions and follow the process, it's not that bad. Downloading the app on a PC and installing the software is the worst part. The only thing I don't like about the remote start is that it kills the engine when you hit the unlock button or open the door. Otherwise, remote start is an amazing feature and a must for cold winters.

This was a surprisingly easy process! Installation took about 5 minutes, and while programming required a few attempts, it eventually went well. My advice is to take your time with the instructions and be careful with your car's panels. The digital guide mentioned an extra cable for a secure takeover—it's not a deal breaker, but it would be a great feature to add. Truly plug, program, and play.
