Factory remote required. Some vehicle disassembly may be required; see installation guide for details. As a safety precaution, vehicle will shut down when door is opened; vehicle must be restarted before driving. Windows PC or Mac is required to complete installation.
- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing lock 3X on your existing OEM key fob. Press lock 3X again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Module is pre-flashed for your vehicles firmware to ensure seamless integration. Technical and customer support team available for additional help.

2014 Acura MDX Work fast and have a fully juiced car battery!! There are a couple video for the physical installation, one programming video and zero for the vehicle pairing. Make sure you have all the necessary tools. SAVE the computer programming instructions IMMEDIATELY because after an amount of time it’s no longer available and Amazon isn’t equipped with the information and the company takes 24hr to get back to you. I suggest creating the account on the link provided in the install instruction before removing the panel so you can reprogram the gear without delays after the physical installation. Work fast. Drained my battery before getting to the 2nd green light. I had to jump start the car and wasn’t able to continue… Getting a brand new battery after 3 jump starts (1st time worked with doors open, 2nd and 3rd time worked even faster since the panels were off and still drained the battery completely) to try again. Wait for part 2!! PART 2 After buying an entire new battery, tested the old one and it was still good, it finally worked. There are multiple options on the firmware and remote start x doesn’t specify which to select so I started clicking different option after “continue extended program” download, that also helped because the default didn’t work with the new battery either. I clicked around, can’t remember what it’s called anymore, perhaps the modify configuration or something I selected an “advanced” one. A lot of trial and error, even with a brand new battery. Not clear on the computer programming to correlate correct synchronization with the vehicle. Only once the correct selection on firmware was made, I was able to successfully follow the vehicle pairing portion. Overall it’s working! FINALLY!!
