Active OnStar subscription not required. Factory remote required. Some vehicle disassembly may be required; see installation guide for details. As a safety precaution, vehicle will shut down when door is opened; vehicle must be restarted before driving. Windows PC required to complete installation.
- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing lock 3X on your existing OEM key fob. Press lock 3X again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Did not work on my Chevy Spark 2020

Like others said, it doesn't come with a keyfob. If you have the LS, you'll need to get the keyfob online, cut and program it (instructions are in the owners manual). Took me longer to drive to the locksmiths than to cut and program. All Sparks have the same body control module and only your drivers side door will unlock. Like already mentioned, you can't unlock the Spark when the remote start is running. This install took me 45 minutes from start to finish. It was very straight forward with the online videos and the manual. You'll need a 7mm socket to get the panel off. There is another kit that has keyfobs but is a lot more in price. For how easy this was and straight forward, I am happy. I also emailed them on a weekend and they responded promptly. I would recommend this to other owners considering the cost savings and DYI.

Purchase this for my kid's car. Searched all kinds of places, brands, etc., found all of them disable the OEM key fob unlock after install, if the remote start is active. So not a bad purchase. Install: Very easy. Programming: Took longer than the install itself. Overall: I am happy that the install was easy, the programming was pretty easy. The only thing I don't like, not being able to unlock the vehicle "after a remote start" with the fob. My kid is happy, looking forward to using it.

Works good it does take a little bit to program and there's 2 clips on side of fuse box small hands can get it easy but big hands little struggle and set up but it works good 👍 will see over time

To be fair, the supplied instructions are quite adequate for the basic install, and it probably would deserve 5 stars for that. My install however Included an rf long range remote. I took a picture of the rf remote model and sent it to start support for model specific instructions. Apparently the didn't read it close and sent me instructions for a similar model rf instead of for the model I had...turning a 2 hr install into a 4 hr install, utilizing several support emails. Do yourself a favor if u go the rf remote route and double check the install instructions match your model number rf remote kit before attempting installation. Overall I am happy with the kit...support could be better, as I felt I did more of the troubleshooting than their support specialist. If you have a 2012 to 2015 model, dash removal will be slightly different than their video and will require a Phillips screwdriver and 10mm deep socket...and small hands would be helpful. Best of luck

so it was real easy to install a few connections and that all ... what I didn't like is the fact that you need to hook up a little device to bypass the cars security system to ur PC { and I mean windows computer } to download software. I hate the fact that start-x remote IS NOT iMac/apple compatible.....I went crazy to find someone who had a windows laptop to finalize the install ..But after the install I did notice that I can't unlock the doors with the remote it has to be done manually with the key and I don't know for how long it stay on for.. I know stock remote starters turn off after a few minutes but I guess I'll find out.

If you have an LT model Chevrolet Spark, you couldn’t really ask for anything much easier to install. Works exactly as described. The only thing that they didn’t tell me that I would’ve liked to of known is that when you take out the fuse box, there’s a clip on the right and left side that must be pushed in that allows it to slide off its housing, the video makes it look like it just slides off easily, but those clips must be pushed in. It took me way longer to get the software downloaded and installed than it did to install the hardware into the car but that had nothing to do with the product itself. Best thing I’ve purchased in a long time.
