I have worn these pants all my adult life and I love the loose fit, the deep pockets and the easy care. But do NOT buy the black or navy blue versions. They've added extra spandex to these two colors and completely ruined them. They are not true to size, they shrink every time you wash them, they attract lint, they are not breathable and are too hot to wear in the summer. They come out of the washer wrinkled and every time you wash or iron them, they lose some of the dye. They look old and worn out after five or six wearings. These pants are already designed to be very forgiving of body flaws. The extra spandex is completely unnecessary.

I usually hesitate purchasing clothing online because I've had trouble with getting just the right fit. I'm too tall for petite and regular but too short for tall. I wait until I wash the item and see what the fit is like. When I wore them as "new" pants they were a tad long but okay with my flat soled shoes. The waist was a little big which is nice because of the shrinkage factor once they're washed. I washed them and they came out really nice. The length shortened to where I needed it and the waist shrinkage was just right. I didn't put the pants in the dryer to dry I hung them on a hanger and let them air dry. I'll probably purchase others in different colors. I recommend them because they are comfortable. My advice is to buy a size or two larger than you usually purchase, wash them and air dry. Update: I have purchased four pairs of these pants and will continue to purchase more. I love them...can wear them to work or just running around on days off. I have two pair of black and two pair of tan...nice pants!

I’m not sure what “petite” means given than I’m 5’4” and these were still a little too long. That said, they’re comfortable. The fabric is a nice weight, heavy enough that it doesn’t show the VPL but not so thick that it’s stiff or too hot.

I love these pants, they're quite comfortable and feel durable through the several wearings/washings I've subjected them to. My only two complaints are: -- the waist is very small. My waist is MUCH smaller than everything below. The pants fit great around the hips/buttocks/thighs but the waist is tight. If it weren't for the small elastic panels in the band, I probably wouldn't be able to wear them. That being said, the pants do tend to relax after a few minutes of wear and I can tolerate the discomfort. (I just wouldn't wear them to anything like Thanksgiving dinner!) -- the legs are short. I have average length legs and find pants either break across the top of my foot with a little bit below the top of my shoe or they're REALLY long and I step on them. Not these pants. They come just to the top of my foot - in other words, wear nice socks or whatever because as you walk, they will be seen. If I had tried these on in a store, I wouldn't have purchased them. They fit enough that I didn't want to hassle with returning them (though Amazon was great about the other brand of pants I returned). I'm not sure buying a size larger would help because, as I said, they fit everywhere else.
