We introduced this blend in 1998 for those who prefer a milder cup. A shade lighter than most our offerings - more toasty than roasty - it was the result of playing with roast and taste profile together for a flavour that appealed to a wider range of palates. Perfectly if you want to wake up to a less intense coffee but still want a lot of character, it`s lively with a citrusy tang that gives way to a clean finish. Fantastic cup of Espresso each and every time. They work perfectly in my L'or Barista machine. This is a great mixture of flavors with each blend having a slightly different caffeine content and taste.

I was really impressed with this Starbucks by Nespresso variety pack. Each capsule delivers a rich aroma and smooth, bold flavor — just like what you’d expect from a coffee shop espresso. It’s a great way to enjoy different blends at home, and the price makes it totally worth it. Highly recommend!

    • Comparing to Nespresso's Caramello

tl;dr For anyone wondering if this is a good substitute for the Nespresso version, I'd say "Yes, IF you want a stronger coffee taste." I was actually happy with this difference since the Nespresso one always seemed kind of mild taste-wise. Still a good coffee taste, but not what I would call "bold" or "strong." I wouldn't even need to add sugar with these, just some heavy cream and it was good to go. Not saying that I don't like the Nespresso Caramello - I love it for what it is, and if I ever want a milder espresso to start my day, or if I want to cut back on sugar, that'll be my top choice - but so many times I'd smell my husband brewing up some Folger's Black Silk in the afternoon and be like "Ohhhh that smells so good!" since the Nespresso one never fully satisfied that craving. But I don't do afternoon coffee, just an espresso in the morning, so that craving for some stronger coffee taste was never fulfilled. Enter the Starbucks caramel flavored espresso pods. The fit was perfect with my Ninja - Espresso & Coffee Barista System ( Model CFN602 if anyone is hunting for that information) and as soon as I got it brewing, I could smell the bold, rich coffee that I had been craving. The taste is great, like strong coffee with a little caramel kick, and who am I to argue with a cheaper price tag? (As of writing: .90 per Nespresso; .57 per Starbucks.) In my opinion, unless you're specifically looking for a milder coffee taste, this one is the winner. ... show more

I've bought this product before and all was good which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. However, this shipment had all of the Starbucks ten packs arriving damaged. Torn or crush boxes and dented capsules inside. I think they will work so I'm keeping them. The annoying thing is that the two main boxes they came in had no damage, so at some point someone packaged damaged product packages on purpose. ... show more

We really like these Starbucks nespresso pods. They have a good flavor and the coffee strength is good. They brew just like a normal nespresso pod. The variety is great, some are stronger than others in flavor. The value for the money is great

I'm writing this review primarily for those who are wondering whether these fit and work in the L'OR Barista espresso machine. With the recent news that the L'OR pods will no longer be supplied through their website, but instead distributed by Peet's, I decided to look for other options, but after trying a brand I bought at a brick and mortar store that didn't fit quite right (they were too short, and so barely got punctured on top), I was concerned about ordering a larger amount online that might not fit, that weren't as high quality, or that didn't work as the L'OR pods. The answer is that yes, indeed, these Starbucks pods work perfectly well in the L'OR espresso machine. They make a nice crema, and the flavor is similar to the L'OR pods. Honestly, I have never noticed a strong difference in the taste between different types of pods (7 versus a 9, nutty versus fruit, etc.). So there's the answer for those wondering. ... show more
