I made the switch from a real espresso machine to the nespresso almost 2 years ago. I’ve tried all brands of pods and the Starbucks espresso roast is the best by far. We love these coffee pods. Their flavors are rich, deep and satisfying. However, the pods are often (not always) shipped in plastic bags. Consequently, several pods are sufficiently distorted in shipping to be unusable in the coffee maker. Given the cost per pod, this is unacceptable.

Nothing beats the gold standard that is Nespresso but these Starbuck pods suit palate and wallet, esp on sale. They work well with my Nespresso Mini Essenza, and I like to mix the pods for a different cuppa each time. Lesser cheaper brands I've tried tend to produce a weaker/stale coffee so my rotation is Starbucks, Peets and Nespresso (when on sale!). ... show more
