Needed these for camping and none of the eggs broke when we put them in the cooler. It worked perfectly. The only negative thing I would say is I could not fit all the eggs. I was only able to fit 10 eggs instead of 12. I think I had medium size eggs.

I really like this egg carrier. I bought it for camping, and even though several reviews said that it doesn’t fit large eggs, I disagree. I think it’s a matter of how you place the eggs in the crate. They come from the store with the “pointy” side down, but in this crate I placed them with the pointy side up, and a dozen large eggs fit just fine. It closed well, and it held up well with the weight of the dozen. Update: just took it on its first camping trip this weekend, and it held up really well in the cooler. Good product, except it was packaged opened instead of closed. 3 of the 4 hinges came pre broken because is this. They probably would have broken after a few uses anyway. It will still function with a few rubber bands.
