Updated Review: I wish I could go to the Stanley website and purchase replacement parts for all their items. That's not possible, however support did eventually get back to me and offered to replace the lid under warranty despite the item being two years old and the damage not directly being their fault. I really like the idea of this and when it works, it works amazingly well. I bumped up to four stars because Stanley replaced the problematic lid for me. Original review: Great idea. Bad implementation. I've had two of these and I love the idea of them. On the first one, the hinges/clips eventually broke off. I compounded the problem by putting the lid in the dishwasher. Don't do that! I bought another one, 'cause I love the idea of this thing. Someone dropped it, it fell on the handle, and cracked the lid. You would think the Stanley website would carry spare parts, but it doesn't. This is an expensive item and I don't intend to turn it into landfill material because the lid is cracked...but I would like to buy another lid. I contacted support to buy another lid and received a message back saying they would be delayed. ... show more

I was sceptical that this would keep things warm, but it did. I bought this to use at a potluck to keep my rice warm. I need to experiment a little on how to keep the rice fluffy (maybe leave the vent open), but it definitely kept it warm. I put my other leftovers into my iced cooler and just set this thermal pot in whole. I was surprised that the rice was still warm inside even when the outside was cold hours later. The only thing I'd worry about is how long the lid clamps will hold up over time. I haven't tested this with liquids yet. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just took this out of the box, it’s smaller than I expected and not sure if I want to keep it or not. It looks durable and the lid fits nice but if you are expecting something bigger like me, then this is not for you. UPDATE!!! UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!! So I did not return this as I was contemplating and will NOT be returning it anymore. Matter of fact I am about to buy a second one. I tried using it yesterday for the exact specific food I wanted it for, and meeen let me tell you. I left the food in it over night just to test the temperature. I just opened it this morning and I can still eat the food without reheating. It kept the temperature hotter than I expected. But this is what I did before using it. While I was still cooking, I boiled water to boiling point, pour inside and let stand for about 10minutes, releasing the pressure couple times, pour out the hot water, wipe the inside then put the food while putting back the lid after dropping each batch of food to prevent heat loss. Let me just say this, if you are not worried about the size being too small, then buy this and use it like I did, and you won’t regret it. I just can’t stop wishing it was just a little bigger. I purchased this for my daughter because she can't eat out at restaurants. I was so excited for her to be able to eat warm food when we are on the road because she always has to bring salad. After trying it multiple times it does not keep her food warm at all. She made some soup for a party and when she got it out to eat the grease had solidified on the top. If I could give it no stars I would. I have always used the older Stanley thermos which worked great but this thing doesn't work at all and I can't return it either!! ... show more
