Great product for those who work outdoors in cold climates. Food stays hot longer if you fill it with boiling water prior to use. If there are concerns about the two plastic containers you can use one 32oz mason jar without the stopper, but the thermos will lose heat quicker. If you want your food to stay hot longer, you can get two 350ml 'Le Parfait Familia Wiss Terrine' jars. Two will fit perfectly in the thermos along with the stopper. An added bonus with the two Le Parfait jars is that they are safe to use with boiling water, so you can keep your food hot for a very long time. Just make sure to gradually raise the temperature of the glass. Going from extreme cold to extreme hot too quickly might cause cracks and shatters. Pour out the water when you are ready to eat, slide the jars out (they will be hot so use gloves), and your food is ready to eat. ... show more

We live it because it’s larger than typical food jars , it keeps really warm and fresh and there’s a cool, sturdy foldable spoon that fits inside. Only complaint is kiddo needs help untwisting the inner lid as it’s too tight or awkward size for not -yet-adult sized hands. Admittedly, I require a bit of effort to open it too. Prefect size for sending anything that needs to stay warm for lunch to school or work. I pour hot water into it first to preheat it, then put any food inside, it will stay warm. I have sent soup, spaghetti, and chicken with rice so far and my kids say it is still warm at lunch time. It has an inner thermos lid that seals it up and keeps it hot, then an outer lid you could use as a cup or small bowl. The outer lid is two pieces and came apart in the dishwasher, but I just fit it back together afterwards. I have two and would definitely buy again. ... show more

Very nice thermos, its works very well. Kept my kids food hot the whole morning so she actually had hot food at lunch. This really does work and jeep things for for up to 9hrs. Its small but can easily hold an individual size portion of food. I'd say about one cup, one package of ramen or one sandwich cut into small pieces. The container as two lids. The initial lid holds the spoon and keeps everything in. The top and outer lof keeps it all closed and hot. I put put boiling water inside for 30min, then added cooked ramen that had lightly cooled down, and it was still warm by 11am for my kids lunch time. ... show more
