These are simply the best handrails I could find. I could have gotten them free from Medicare but they were ugly, almost impossible to use and quite large. $280 is a lot for me. Other rails started at $50, but that was for only one rail, I needed two and they were so flimsy they were dangerous. These are the best looking, they are rock solid, came with good instructions and had the assembly tools needed! A great buy! ... show more

    • NEED SOME QA FOR PARTS
I would have given this five STARS if not for the difficult assembly due to parts and tool quality. The hold-down pieces were pre-threaded and painted (Power Coated). The painting (powder coated) was done after the threading filled the threads with overspray making it difficult to to insert and turn the bolts. The fallen wrench provided was slightly too big not allowing the wrench to fully insert into the bolt heads. Paint-filled threads and a poorly-fitting Allen wrench made assembly very difficult. Also, the snap-on rails (half rings) fitted too snuggly making them difficult to remove and reattach easily by an elderly person. The following would greatly improve this product. (1) Clean the threads after powder coating the hold-down clamps. (2) make sure the correct size Allen wrench is provided, and (3) Ensure a better fit for the quick connect rails/rings. ... show more

The mattress and bed these were supposed to go with did not work. My dad passed away a month later. We ended up buying different railings but the return date was already passed.

Trust me, I was not happy spending this kind of money for a grab bar. However my mother's facility did not allow the bed bars the hospital bed uses. So she needed something. Installed these and while expensive, the materials and ease of installation made sense. All the mounting holes lined up perfectly and installed very securely. I def recommend spending the money.     • Handle is not tall enough.
Solid construction and very good materials. I like the cover that goes over the top as it has pockets that you can put things in it. ** However, the handle is way too low and only comes up to the top of the mattress. The nurse that is assisting us with home care says it should be above the height of the mattress so it is easier for the patient to grab. And I agree. As it is now, you have to squeeze your hand down between the mattress and the handle in order to grab the handle. For this reason, the patient in my household struggles to do that. If it was about 6 inches higher, it would be easily grabble and perfect to use. Right now it is not. So for $300, I’m not that crazy about it for these reasons. ... show more
