Overall, this lamp was a cinch to assemble. The only part that gave me any difficulty was the ring that had to be removed (easily), and then replaced (not quite as easily), when the cone part was added to the pole. It isn't likely to tip over by itself; although it wouldn't take much pressure to knock it over. I wouldn't recommend putting one in a central location if there are small children or pets running around. With fall daylight savings time it gets dark so early and I wanted a bright light to help me not feel sleepy. This lamp was an awesome price, considering all of the local store prices were way out of my budget. The lamp matches my decor perfectly 🙂

Just know what you are getting. It's not an heirloom piece of furniture that your grandkids will be using. It is well packaged. The lamp diffuser is thin plastic, so just be aware and be careful as it's easy to crack. The tall stem is made of approx 5 1 foot tubes that you screw together with the cord already threaded through the tubes. It's easy to cross-thread all the tubes when assembling, so be cautious and go slowly. I wouldn't pay over $40 for this lamp as it is flimsy. But, if you plan to put it on a timer or a WiFi outlet like I did, and you will rarely touch it to turn it on and off, it will last forever and it looks pretty good. I bought a flimsier, lower quality lamp from Walmart and paid the same price, so I'm happy with this lamp. ... show more

That's what she said :D But really, this thing is very thin and cheap...hence the price. The diffuser at the top is made of plastic which is alright and it's almost 6ft tall. It's fine I suppose. First time giving a one star on a product! The item came packed with styrofoam which was fine even though it made quite a mess which require vacuuming because those things stick to the rug and table. The lamp was easy enough to assemble but what follows drove me to frustration. I know this lamp is not expensive and I should not expect quality. It did not came with a light bulb, which is fine, but I had to try three different types of LED light bulb before I can find one bright enough light up the corner of my room. I said to myself, that's fine, at least I can use it for a corner of the room. Then I realize the knob is stuck and I am unable to turn off the light. I noticed it's the part that serve as the base for the light bulb so I tried to loose it up to see if the knob would work. Nope! After many many tries and screaming, I finally decided to take off the parts it came with and just have the light bulb screwed in. It sucks but that is the only way for the light switch to work. And even that is hard to turn the switch. I feel like it might break any minute. Anyway, this product is not worth your time and no one should pay more than $10 for this. Now I need to go vacuum and come back to find another lamp. ... show more
