I've built a lot of brick rocket stoves, and when I stumbled across this for $52 I thought I had to grab it. It's quite the blowtorch, and very portable. I only have one warning - the legs don't attach in any way to the body (they just slip into notches), so I can imagine them possibly coming loose as the stove gets jostled while cooking or feeding. But there's a simple solution. I just took two pieces of wire (either steel or aluminum would work), put a right angle notch in each end, and they go into the holes at the ends of the legs. That should guarantee that they stay in place while the stove is being used. In any case, it's not a deal breaker.

The media could not be loaded. Heavy duty little unit. I was going to make one but this one looked pretty solid for $50. I don’t think you can go wrong for the price.

We keep it in the toyhauler for camping. It's versatile and really handy to have along when combined with a small griddle, etc. Add a hatchet to split-up some kindling from firewood and you're good to go. Needs very little "fuel" to be useful. We've even used pine cones.

Really puts out a lot of heat--using a small amount of twigs and limbs. With some split aged hardwood, this would be a monster. Much, much more efficient than our cast-iron stove.
