The rod is very nice, however my complaint is around the shipping. The rod came in a very oversized bent up box rather than a sturdy rod tube that rods are typically shipped in. Let’s start out with I fish a lot with a bunch of different rods. Cork included. We went out fishing in light rain and the Bottom cork completely ripped in half first use with light soaking. I don’t want to hear about “oh cork in the rain what did you think would happen”. It’s a “premium” rod I’ve used multiple other brands with cork in heavier weather with no problem. Don’t let the tiktock kids hype you into getting this expensive rod just because of social media. Highly disappoint. ... show more

Purchased a mojo yak, 7’ medium power, fast action, made in North America (Mexico) rod. Arrived on time well protected in cardboard tube. Created an account and registered rod on St. Croix web site. Fished with rod on two outings. Caught several bass. Wonderful feel and casting action, very comfortable. On second outing, caught a 2.5lb large mouth and while lifting bass into kayak the tip of the rod broke off. Filed a warranty claim requesting an upgrade to a more expensive rod that would be made in USA and got a response after a few days that said they would get with me within two weeks. Several months have passed and still no word from St. Croix. Since that time, wanting to purchase USA made product, G-Loomis has filled the gap with an IMX Pro, 7’1”” fast action, 855C, CBR Crank Bait Rod. Very nice action rod.. G-loonies may be owned by Shimano, but it is still manufactured in USA. And, that matters. Just saying. ... show more
