This is about one of the best rods I’ve ever had…I probably have 15 rods and this one by far is superior to all of them. It’s sensitive enough to feel the lightest bites of a crappie and powerful enough to bring in a small mouth. The only issue is trying to find a good bobber stop for it…it catches pretty bad on the eyes with the string type, so far the small rubber ones seem to hang less on the eyes…we’ll see how they hold up. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This rod felt weird but I didn’t overthink it. Today I realized the guides are set to the left slightly or, the handle is set to the right slightly. Either way the rod isn’t built true and straight. I’m disappointed in St. Croix for this.
