I use these little squares to line charcuterie cups (AKA fry cups) and I place the dry items like crackers or toast pointes behind the parchment to help them stay dry and not go stale too quickly. Sometimes I'll use the white (instead of the brown parchment) to differentiate vegetarian cups from the meat cups, or I'll just do all white because it sets off the food nicely and makes for a nice presentation. These are a brilliant white and not an off-white, so they look great in the cups and really help create a cohesive look. I've also used these to set wax seals when stamping with hot wax, and as blotters for cards with hand calligraphy. Multiple uses! Perfect for what I needed. We buy bulk cheese from a local Amish store which comes sliced but without any protection in between the slices. Because we buy so much at a time, we freeze most of it. First time we did, thawed it out and the cheese crumbled every time we tried to take/use a slice...purchased these wonderful things and viola, no more crumbling - any kind of the cheese we purchased (American, Pepper Jack, Marble (Colby Jack), Mild Cheddar, Non-Smoked Provolone). Love these separators. I can use them to separate any meat or even cheese slices. I buy large packages of cheese slices but they come all stuck together. I separate them, put one of these papers in between and put the cheese back in the original packaging. They stay cold, firm but yet are easy to pull out for sandwiches or just having a slice of cheese. I also use these when I get packages of pork chops. I can pull out chops individually without having to thaw out more than I need to get them apart. I use them to separate my hamburger as well. I buy a large roll of Jimmy Dean Sausage, then cut the sausage in slices and put 3-4 on a sheet and freeze them all that way. Then when I'm ready to use them for breakfast, I only need to get out the ones I need and thaw them---that way I"m saving money because I can get the larger sausage package, but I only use 3 or 4 slices at a time and this way, I don't have to thaw the whole log.
