I just purchased this Spyker Spreader and it was easy to assemble in less that 5 minutes. Rain was predicted in the forecast and I wanted to get some grass seed down before for the rain. I was able to spread grass seed in the designated areas without having to haul the push behind spreader out of the tool shed and spread the grass seed within 15 minutes. Easy to add grass seed in the zip up bag and adjust the settings to spread the seed. The strap and hip rest make it comfortable to operate and the crank to spread the seed distributes it evenly and throws the seed good distance. Highly recommend it for either small or big jobs. This is a well designed spreader and is great for small area applications or even small yards. The spreader feels sturdy and made of quality materials. This spreader is very easy to use and pretty intuitive, just with any product, be sure to review the instructions for application. As a DIYer, I feel this spreader is an essential item to add to your arsenal of lawn equipment. I really appreciate the large bag with the viewing window so I am not having to refill so often. I would recommend this over any other handheld spreader.

What a wonderful compact spreader!! It’s so easy to use and super convenient to store. The wearable functionality of it is my favorite part. I can put it over my shoulder, set the dial at the rate I want, and go! I love the bag and being able to see how much seed is left in it through the clear window. It holds a surprisingly good amount so you don’t have to keep stopping to fill it up. Perfect for starters or pro’s! Worth the money! If you are considering getting one, do it!

Whenever you start spreading a ton of seed drops first. You will lose at least a couple of cups of seed.

Very happy with this spreader y'all! Easy to fill, and actually fun to use! Used this spreader to spread grass seed, weed & feed, wild flowers, and ferterlizer. It did a great job, and covered a wide area. I will use this in winter to spread ice melt on my sidewalk. Definitely recommend for home and garden use!

It's a bit tricky with timing on opening and closing the gate while turning the handle to distribute the product. A little bit of practice and you start to get the hang of it. It's constructed well, quite a bit of plastic but it's sturdy. Overall, the compact size outweighs the complicated nature of operating the gate. I'd highly suggest getting this spreader over any of the small Scotts spreaders that you find in big box stores.
