I purchased this because I have some arthritis in my knee and reviews indicated this will help with movement. Honestly, I was hoping for a success but this did not prove to be the case. I put them on and unless I was nearly squatting, the spring mechanism did not help at all. There was no benefit walking up stairs. I was disappointed. They appear to be made well, but for my body type and need, they did not help. They were fairly comfortable when on, but not helpful in supporting movement. I have no knee cap on one leg so it lacks strength. These get 2stars because they helped me get up from a chair. They only got 2 stars because they became painful to wear. I think the support behind the leg needs some alteration. Nice idea for the springs.
