These cameras are great and the price is considerably better than similar products sold at costco or best buy. Setup and installation was easy, the app is extremely handy and allows you to view the camera's live at any time as well as playback footage. I’ve had two NightOwl and two ZOSI systems in the past but was plagued with problems on each one. But this Hiseeu is fantastic and addresses every one of the complaints I had with those other security systems. 1 Setup was simple and straightforward, a pure plug and play setup. No complicated networking setup, just scan the barcode and plug in the cameras and your ready to go. 2 The POE is great. No need to run separate power cables, just the one Ethernet cable. 3 The picture quality is superb, being able to recognize faces even when the subject is small on the screen. 4 I like being able to set up each camera differently. We are living in the jungle of Costa Rica and I wanted to be able to use motion detection on most of the cameras and spot the exotic wildlife passing by, yet one camera is just on our entry gate and I have face detection set up on that particular one. 5 So far the DVR is much more dependable than any of the other systems I’ve used. On but the NightOwl and the ZOSI I had frequent problems and would have to reboot the systems. It’s no fun when you’re on vacation in another country and you can’t monitor your property because the DVR needs a reboot. At this point I’ve been up and running for 5 weeks and the system has been going nonstop with no need to reset anything. 6 The mobile app is infinitely better than any of the others I’ve used. It is very intuitive for remote replay. And the start and stop are well timed to not use up much hard drive space. Usually I can review the entire night on one camera in around five minutes because the video starts and ends when the action starts and ends. So without a doubt I would recommend and already have recommended this system to others and I would purchase it again if looking for a DVR. (SIX MONTH UPDATE Nov.2, 2021) I recently had my farthest camera (about 200 feet distance) stop working. I texted the customer service and they suggested how to check the camera. It was clear from the test that the camera had gone bad for whatever reason. I wrote it off as one of those things that just happen. The next morning I received an email from KiKi that they had already sent out a new camera to replace it. I have never seen customer service like that. Without a doubt they have my business forever, especially with their great product. I’ve now purchased one of their solar PZT cameras and will leave a review when I get the chance to install it. And by the way, 6 months later the system is still working perfectly, with not a single stop nor need to reboot the system. Take my experience with four previous systems from other companies. These are the best. *** ( TWO and a HALF YEAR update Dec. 16, 2023) *** The NVR finally stopped working, possibly from nearby lightning here in Costa Rica at the end of our rainy season. I sent an email to Hiseeu and they responded within an hour. They gave me some things to try but it looks like the NVR is not working. In any event, it is still a great system and I’ll be purchasing another to replace it. **AND…. The solar PTZ camera I purchased from them over 2 years ago is still working like a charm. ... show more

I purchased the HISEEU 4KPoE camera system to replace my old security system. Installing it was straightforward, and the resulting images are impressive. The video quality is exceptional, especially in night vision. The wide-angle cameras provide exceptional clarity and color. Although the software could be improved, the app is easy to use, and setup was quick. Additionally, the cameras' weather resistance is notable, even in extreme conditions. Bought this with two additional HiSeeu 5MP PoE dome cameras as a bundle. The bullet cams are decent but could benefit from the use of a gimbal-style mount. The lens affords about 75 degrees of coverage so good for focused areas of coverage. The domes do about 110 degrees so better for close-in spaces like rooms and such. Since they are wide-angle you'll get some perspective effects. The cables that came with the kits are pretty thin (likely low-twist count stranded conductors) and the weather boots are nice. I'm not sure why the cameras have both an Ethernet plug and a power plug when the NVR has PoE. It makes the cabling more messy than it needs to be. I say that they should drop the barrel power stub out and make the cameras PoE-only. The NVR unit is pretty typical, mostly an empty box with a pair of boards and likely running a Hi3536 series SoC. The software on the NVR itself is decent but seems to only support a mouse; no keyboard. That makes data entry a bit of a pain. Client software is more hit-or-miss, and likely more miss than hit. To connect to the NVR on a Windows box you need to use an ActiveX plug-in and IE; that's a dead end and there doesn't seem to be a replacement for that yet. HiSeeU's web site is a confusing mess when it comes to software support. The XMEye app for iOS is serviceable but crashes after running for several hours on your typical iPad. A memory leak, it looks like, because it complains that the device has run out of memory. Restarting the app gives you a few more hours of run time. Overall, the video quality of the system is good. The two-way audio, as run from the XMEye app, works well and has about a 10 foot range from the camera being used as an intercom in most conditions. I still need to dig in and set up detection zones and stuff so can't speak to the quality of that functionality. Hopefully we'll see some better/newer apps from HiSeeU in the near future. The base hardware and NVR are good; they just need to get that last bit of software nailed down. ... show more

I bought this to replace an out of date security system in my home. It was easy to install and the pictures were great! Very high quality photos! I bought the HISEEU 4KPoE Security camera system on March 8 2024. I completely removed the old system. Installed 6 cameras and all new wiring and connected it up to the HISEEU 4K UHD 2160p. It has excellent speed, night vision and motion sensor capabilities. The wide vision cameras with the 121 degree angle, give exceptional color and clarity! Overall I was very impressed with the capabilities of the system! Recommend it to anyone looking for good simple system for you home! ... show more
