  • AOSU Cameras: Reliable and Impressive!
Style: 4-Cam-Kit
After using the AOSU Solar Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor system for over a year, I can confidently say that this 2K QHD home security system has exceeded my expectations in every way! The image quality is outstanding. The 2K QHD resolution provides crystal-clear video, allowing me to see every detail, day or night. The 166° ultra-wide view ensures that I can monitor a large area without missing a thing, which is perfect for my outdoor spaces. One of the standout features is the forever power capability. The solar panels keep the cameras charged, so I never have to worry about changing batteries or losing power. This feature gives me peace of mind knowing that my home is always protected without the hassle of maintenance. The spotlight camera is another fantastic addition. It not only enhances visibility at night but also acts as a deterrent for any potential intruders. I love that I can customize the settings to suit my needs, whether I want to receive alerts or activate the spotlight manually. With 32G local storage, I can easily access recorded footage without worrying about monthly fees. This is a huge plus for me, as it saves money while still providing reliable security. The setup was incredibly straightforward, and I had all four cameras up and running in no time. My dad was so impressed with this system that he immediately considered replacing his other name-brand cameras. My siblings and I convinced him to wait, and we ended up buying him this system for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! He mentioned how easy it was to set up and how much he appreciates the clarity of the video. Overall, I highly recommend the AOSU Solar Security Cameras to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality security system. After a year of use, I feel safer knowing that my property is well-monitored, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! This system truly offers great value for the price, and I’m thrilled to have made such a wise investment in my home security. ... show more

  • Honest review
Style: 4-Cam-Kit
Been having these up for some months now. The solar panels work great now. At first one panel wouldn’t charge but for some reason switching which camera I had it hooked up to made it work. So everything works fine, and the clarity is amazing. You can hear everything on them lol mounting them was fairly easy once you figure out roughly where you want coverage. It’s an amazing value for the bundle. ... show more

  • Awesome cameras for the money
Style: 2-Cam-Kit
I was needing some security cameras around my house for awhile. So I started looking for some cameras when I found these cameras the AOSU security cameras. I was not sure about them. So I only ordered two if them at the time thinking that they was not going to be all that great for the price. When I got them thay looked like really nice cameras. It came with the HomeBase witch I wanted. I don't like using the cloud and paying monthly for. So settings them up at first was a little confused at first. I couldn't get the cameras to sink up with the homebase at first. So I got ahold of AOSU customer service and a wonderful lady named Daisy and I told her what was going on. She apologies for the trouble I was having and walk me through on settings it up. We found out that maybe the homebase might have a problem. So without questioning it she sent me a new base. Daisy was supper nice to talk to and very helpful. She pretty much whent out if her way to help. Great customer service. So I was thinking that okay this is going to be a POS camera system and I got my money's worth. So when I got the homebase two days later. I set them up which took maybe 20 minutes. After settings them up I realized that I don't think the first base was bad. I think it was me that was bad.lol. I think I realized I was missing a step and that was my problem. Slow learner I guess lol. So after settings them up I put them outside. I was kinda having problems finding a good place in the backyard because my internet router is kinda old and doesn't have the range of the new routers do. My router is on the other side of my house and it has to go though 4 walls to get to the backyard. And they are all laugh and plaster. A lot to go through. So after a little tweaking I got the signal I needed. I'm very impressed with them. For the money and the router I'm useing they work awesome. They are really clear in the daytime and at night they work awesome too. The only problem is at night like any IR system is if someone is moving you will not get a really clear shot of their face unless that person stops moving. The range on the sensor could be a little better, I think it is about 20 feet but this is not a professional camera set up. You want professional you will pay big money for that. Could they have a little more distance on the signal?, yes. But I think that is because of my old router and were that is in the house. I like the idea I could be anywhere in the United States or Canada and get a signal and see what's going on around my house. All in all great cameras set up. I wound up purchasing 2 more cameras. The customer service is awesome I never had that good customer service. A big SHOUT OUT to Daisy. The cameras are awesome. I highly recommend them. They're are not professional grade home security cameras. If you want professional grade video. You might not want this camera. Pay the money for the professional cameras. But if you want basically good home security cameras these are the ones to get. They're not really expensive they work really good for the money. And customer service is awesome. Now I'm going to see how the work in the winter when it get -20°f will update on that later. ... show more

  • Amazing customer service and camera functionality
Style: 2-Cam-Kit
So I had these for about 8 months now and I love how easy they are to setup and install, motion detection and camera quality are amazing and I loved how much history you can save on the home base. Recently one of the cameras syarted to run out of charge so I called customer service and they were really quick. After some troubleshooting, there was an issue with one of the cameras. They offered to replace it but they dis not have a stand alone camera in stock. Did that stop them? No they sent me a whole other setup.. if this is not an amazing customer service I dont know what is. Super satisfied and moving forward this is the brand I will trust. I also like that you dont have to sync videos captured to the cloud, you can do that locally. You still need internet connection to access the cameras ( I mean internet access not just being on the network ) ... show more

  • Good quality cameras with an excellent support team for any issues that may arise
Style: 4-Cam-Kit
I first heard of aosu Security Cameras from a friend. Her husband purchased them to monitor their property and they were quite satisfied with how the cameras worked. I ordered the 4-Cam solar powered kit. Upon receiving the product, I unboxed all of the contents. I liked how well everything was organized in the box. The set up instructions were very easy to follow. I charged all of the cameras according to the directions. I will say that one of the 4 cameras would not charge with the quickness and ease as the other 3 cameras did. I tried several ways to get it to charge. Eventually, it did reach 100% charge, however it did not hold the charge like the other cameras did. This camera seemed to be defective. I put up the other 3 cameras outside and followed directions as far as placement of camera and solar panel. I have been extremely pleased with these cameras, the video quality, and how easy the app is to use. It also has good quality for the night vision mode. Note that you do need to install the aosu app on your phone or tablet to view video footage. You can choose whether to pay for a monthly plan or run them live. Some features are disabled without a monthly plan. I chose to purchase one of the montly plans because I wanted access to all features along with being able to store videos to view later. As for the defective camera, I did call the number for aosu support and reported my issue. I was connected with a support member named Daisy and she was so very helpful in coming up with a solution for the defective camera. She communicated with me via email, was very thorough in keeping me up to date through the whole process. She responded in a timely manner and within 24 hrs she assured me that a replacment camera will be sent to replace the defective camera. She answered all questions I had and was courteous throughout the whole process. The only reason I did not put a 5 star rating is because of the defective camera. I will come back and update the review once I receive a replacement camera and make sure that it works properly. If the replacement camera works without any issues, which I feel sure it will, then I will change my review to a 5 star rating. If you are considering purchasing this product, I would highly recommend it. Not all companies are as willing to resolve defective equipment issues as this one was. I should have my replacement in a few days and then I will update the review. ... show more

  • So far, So good!!
Style: 2-Cam-Kit
its only been two days with these cameras and it sure has worked well for its price. The first day we did have an offline issue but was quickly fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting the ethernet cable. The video quality is nice but license plates are hard to read at times. it was overall very simple to install and very much liked having the choice of physical and digital (on the app) mounting instructions. The cameras and solar panels have also survived two storms so far with no major changes. We haven’t paid for the subscription so we haven’t had the fancy features but even without that, we can see recordings, use the alarm, the microphone, pre-loaded voice commands, and it does a nice job of motion detection with only having one mistaken identified event so far. I will say that it doesn’t show you immediate live feed when you open the app, you instead only get the picture preview of what was happening. Only til you tap on the preview, or go to events and then live, you get the live feed. Other than that, it’s been a great feeling having these cameras for home surveillance!!! ... show more

  • Motion detection - Oh boy, yes it detects
Style: 2-Cam-Kit
I am three days in in terms of use so still trying to tweak some settings. It was super easy to set up. I read some people had trouble after the firmware update but I did it with no issues whatsoever. The picture quality is great. Battery life has remained at 100% for both cameras thanks to the solar panel. Actually it is amazing the battery level given my cameras are recording events every two minutes. The motion sensing is very sensitive. Our home has no line of site to road or other general human activity. I have some plantings in the line of site of both cameras and there are tree shadows also in the view for one of the cameras. We live in a windy area and the movement of the plantings and the tree shadows pick up the motion and record events (like every minute or two all day long). I have set detection zones to avoid the plantings (you can actually paint your screen with multiple zones to overcome this detection issue), but both cameras are still sensing motion. The next thing I did was set the sensitivity to the lowest setting. The latest change I made is to change the setting to "detect humans only", but still getting recorded events anywhere from one to five minutes apart (with no humans) - SEE UPDATE BELOW. I am not worried about storage space on the home base, but to research an event would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Oh, I don't have notifications turned on because there really would be no point with all of the false events. I just don't know if I will keep these yet or return them. The price is good and it does provide some benefit, but I don't know whether I can feel good about the amount I spent versus what value it actually provides (fortunately Amazon gives me 30 days to decide). Final note, wifi signal strength isn't great. One camera is no more than 15 feet from my router and it was barely getting 1 bar while my iPhone next to it gets full bars. Though, there is an inner wall running perpendicular directly behind this camera. The second location gets decent wifi bars. UPDATE: The "Detect Humans Only" seems to work. One camera only recorded events that had humans, the other camera still had an event where nothing transpired except for moving bushes. I think this is what most people want so I would say it works well. In my situation I would like to see the cars come and go. Maybe a future update can include "Detect cars" option as well (hint hint Aosu). ... show more
