  • Simple, cheap, works well, has night vision and sound capabilities
Style: 1 Camera
Very small, simple solution to indoor monitoring. Works with 2.4 GHz WiFi, easy to set up and use. The app feels a bit dated (it is), but for a $12 camera from a known brand name, what do you want? Annual subscription to cloud storage gives you access to clips for two weeks once uploaded for $40/yr. A solid little camera with some great features for the price, including IR night vision (mediocre), the ability to talk to anyone in the room through the camera or sound a piercing alarm to let people/pets know they are misbehaving. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: 1 Camera
I use this as a baby monitor and we absolutely love it. The subscription isn’t expensive and it’s worth the money. I feel comfortable leaving baby in a room alone in her bassinet and it adds to our sense of security. Great quality and features which are manageable. Barely more than one second lag, no delay with subscription, you can save recordings and take photos which save right to your phone. Sound quality is great. Is recommend this for anyone who wants security but not breaking the bank, it’sa great way to keep an eye on your family or belongings ... show more

  • WON'T INSTALL W/ FLIP PHONE & NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Style: 2 Cameras
Won't install with Samsung or Motorola flip phones Loses connectivity often WON'T RECORD!!! TECH SUPPORT ISN'T SOLVING PROBLEM AND KEEPS TELLING ME THE SAME THING "WE'RE WORKING ON IT", MEANWHILE THEY NEVER CALL BACK AS PROMISED AND REFUSE TO TRANSFER ME TO USA SUPPORT TEAM (which, in my experience, gets me someone accountable to the problem and a timely resolution and ability to follow up as it proceeds) Long answer about how this item has been: I've been a Roku customer for 20 years and love the service, so when I needed cameras to monitor my vendors and packages I chose Roku and used Amazon to buy/ship my cameras. I have had non-stop issues ever since. The cameras would not connect to the 2.4 GHz network I was forced to create just for them. The app didn't work with my flip phone b/c the QR code was in the curve of the and never connected. I finally had to borrow a phone, install my Roku on their phone, to connect which is quite worrisome, then uninstall my cameras from their phone hoping they can't simply reinstall to see my house. Once the cameras were finally connected to the network, the app kept losing connection with the cameras. Bought these in 2023. Eventually the connection got fixed, so I finally paid for subscription service only to find that the cameras don't record. That's the whole damn point of having cameras at my house - to record activity. So now I'm having major repairs to my pool and can't verify the work is being completed per scope of work because the cameras don't record b/c of a software glitch that thinks this outdoor camera is indoor so the Las Vegas summer heat is a problem for these outdoor cameras. One of the outdoor cameras is installed inside though, and it also doesn't record for some unknown reason. It's been weeks (now in August 2025) and they still don't work. I've been trying to reach support, and am told the same thing "we're still working on it" but they aren't calling me back as promised and they refuse to escalate to a US support person who might actually be accountable to this problem and get it resolved. Meanwhile, they refuse to provide a credit on the subscription service that doesn't work and never ever ever get it resolved. ... show more

  • Good Product but needs better access control
Style: 1 Camera
The camera is good. I previously purchased one directly from Roku before acquiring this one. I grew weary of transferring it between the bedroom and living room to monitor my elderly father, who has dementia and is at risk of falling. The device is sufficiently functional and comes with some great features in its applications. However, it lacks a dedicated application for the Windows operating system, meaning you must manage it through your smartphone—for instance, toggling the camera(s) on and off or altering settings. Additionally, live viewing on a Windows computer isn't possible; it requires the use of a phone or a Roku device to watch the camera feed live. You must have a Smartphone or Tablet Computer (that has a camera) to manage the camera(s). You must have a good Wi-Fi signal. You must subscribe to Roku Smart Home if you want to receive alerts and save/view cloud recordings. Each camera requires an independent subscription for alerts and recording to the Cloud. You must sign up for a Single Camera Subscription to get the 90-day free subscription. You cannot use 3rd party software to control or view your Roku Camera. You cannot give someone else access to just the camera feed, they'd need to login with same Roku credentials (your username and password). You can record to your Smartphone but not have it automatically triggered by movement or other events. This is fine and won't cost you anything. However, if you need to record when the camera detects movement/sound, like if your 90-year-old father or 3-year-old gets up out of bed, or if someone comes in through the window, then you will need a subscription for each camera. Another reason this is an important feature is to be able to record and see exactly how a person fell, or if someone was going through your dresser drawers, or getting into your medicine cabinet. Currently, the price for a single camera subscription is $3.99 a month. If you have 2 cameras you need to be able to trigger events to record, it would be basically $8.00 a month. If you have 3 or more, it would be $9.99 a month (or $99.99 a year). 14-day video cloud recording retention, Smart detection, Event filtering. If you think about it, it is not a bad price at all. The basic cloud event recording only shows very short video clips. In order to record a full event, it won't be stored on the cloud, it will be stored on a Micro SD Card. To enable 24/7 recording, or longer event recordings, purchasing a Micro SD Card for each camera is necessary. Viewing the FULL event recording(s) requires removing the SD card from the camera and using a computer or another device with an SD card slot. This method is disadvantageous in my opinion. While it's beneficial during internet outages (if you have a home network), it proves too cumbersome for daily monitoring. And for security, it is not smart, because the SD card is in the camera. What if someone steals the camera? They'd also be taking off with your recording evidence. I do recommend this product, but I can currently only give it 4 stars because of the lack of a Windows 10/11 application to control or even view the camera feeds. I am on my computer most of the time and being able to monitor my elderly father is essential. I have to keep the feed running on a TV beside me in order to accomplish this. That is a minus in my book, as is the lack of 24/7 recording to the cloud. Having to remove the SD card from each camera to view full event recordings is fine if you need to check for a specific thing, but not for routine monitoring. ... show more
