I received the Bissel SpotBot, and immediately used it with the included cleaning soap and boost to tackle a pet stain located half-way down my stairs. The device lifted the stain that I have tried to get out with a hand-held hose attached to a larger carpet shampooer I have. After that success, I attacked about 5 more spots. The tanks seem to hold enough for 3 deep cleanings before having to empty and re-fill. Today, less then a week after getting the Spot Bot and using it for the first time, I filled up the clean water tank and put it into the device. Immediately a pool of water began to form under to Spot Bot, as it was leaking. Before my eyes, the clean water clean water level was dropping as it leaked onto my counter top. While I think the bot design is great, the poor construction that can't hold up to more than 6 uses cause me to have to write a rare review that discourages my fellow shoppers from buying this device. I wanted to love this so much, after my first use.

The vacuum was easy to set up. The liquid holding containers are easy to attach/detach. The brushes on the vacuum work well. Those were the good things. The vacuum had no suction even when I followed the instructions on the video on 'how to improve suction.' Basically, the vacuum dumped all the cleaning solution on the one spot, brushed it until the timer shut off and did not suck up any of the dirty water. I was left with a soaking wet rug and a dirty ring. Do not buy this product. It is a waste of time.

We have noticed that if you use the quick clean or deep clean setting it doesn’t do a great job of sucking up all the moisture from the cleaning cycle and you can get a ring around the outside of the spot. However, this can be remedied by using the hose/wand to suck up the excess moisture. Once I figured that out it works well. If they increased the suction power a bit I think it would help.

Photo 1: previously titled Poop Smudges on Carpet; new title: Clean Carpet Crop Circles. Photo 2: visiting the scene of the crime. I got my spotbot a few weeks ago and I LOVE IT. It cleans up dog poo and cat spit up on the carpet with minimal hand contact (especially true on fresh stains; not sure about old ones). Because who wants to touch that stuff???? I grab the chunky bits, put down the spotbot and walk away for six minutes while it deep cleans the rest of the mess. It is easy to clean out the dirty water when it is done - remove the plastic tank off the unit and pour into toilet. Give it a rinse, dispose, and put back on the unit. Because we store it with water and cleaning solution in the clean water tank, it sits ready for the next mess the sweet pets leave behind. Why did it take me years to try this product? If you have carpet and you have the kind of pets I do, you need this.

For the most part I'm satisfied with the Pet Spot Bot, it does a pretty good job on stains when I use the automatic Deep clean setting. Unfortunately for me not all stains are the right shape to fit entirely into the area covered by that setting. Using the hose with the brush is far less efficient, and less effective. I usually have to clean stains a few times to completely remove them that way. It's hard to tell when the carpe is wet, if the stain is gone. I wish the automatic setting did a better job of getting all the water/cleaning solution up, I have to go over the "crop circle" with the hose and brush to remove the excess water. It's not perfect, but it's better than doing it all by hand with a cloth and can of cleaner, or lugging the huge upright carpet cleaner upstairs, and setting it all up, and then cleaning it to do a small stain.

Bought this little cleaner because one of my dogs became sick and it ended up being a great purchase. Not only does it clean up fresh accidents but older ones as well. I've cleaned up just about every type of pet accident you can dream of with this little guy and it delivers every time. The pet oxy sample it comes with seems to be great on just about every time type of stain (pet wise). After mopping up what you can with a rag or paper towel just set this guy down over the stain (assuming its in the circumference) press the button of the type of cleaning you want wait for the beep and will need to use the hand attachment to get up the excess water and I'm not upset about that, you will have a perfectly clean area every time so far. I've read some other reviews about it not getting everything up but I guess I should emphasize that you do need to get up as much as possible with a rag or towel prior to using it and it seems to be gold. I wish I had bought one sooner. I am using it on a low pile fairly light colored carpet that is about 3 years old, I have yet to have an issue with it leaving a cleaner spot than the rest of the carpet, after it drys looks like it never happened. I wish they could make this into a shampoo botvac. It is a bit wonky on the stairs and depending on where you are trying to clean you may need to use the hand attachment (which you may not get the same results, square corners and round cleaner).

I was getting fustrated with my dog, (a 9 month old Cane Corso...google them, they are massive!) Anyway, he would run around in the yard and then immediately jump on our light grey sofas as soon as he got in the house! ...it was a nightmare trying to clean them . My coworker recommended the green machine. Saw this pet model and decided I should go for something a little bit more, heavy-duty. It arrived early. Everything perfectly new, no damages. I cleaned my sofa quickly and they look like new! The water was BLACK from all the dirt that came up. I LOVE this machine. I will be using it regularly for our sofas and may even use it to clean my car seats. If you are a pet owner, this should be in your closet.
