This is a very good idea. I’m able to get a cardio workout without being able to put weight on my foot because of an operation. I keep it close to the chair and constantly use it throughout the day whenever I feel like it. I also like the idea of being able to adjust the tension.

The media could not be loaded. This trainer is a peculiar piece of exercise equipment. It doesn't feel like a typical resistance tool, in that you're not contracting and extending a targeted muscle (like you would in doing bicep curls). It's not quite a cardio tool either, although after using this for a while you will get your heart rate up and break a sweat. Too bad it does not come with instructions. But you can find some videos of exercise examples if you scroll to the "videos for related products" on the page for this. You can see in my review video clip of a couple of different movements you can do with this. I felt my upper and lower arms working with this. You will feel your forearms start to feel the "burn" pretty fast, as those muscles are usually early to get to the fatigue-work phase. The knob lets you adjust the intensity of the resistance, and when you crank that up you can feel the entire arm engaged. This can be a good addition to your home workout routine. It can provide upper body exercise movements if you get creative and find different positions in which to hold it. I got it to put some action on my chest and shoulders. But, that is not the primary area where you will feel this. It is not too heavy, but after a couple of minutes, your arms will get tired.
