SpeTool is my go to bit for CNC carving. Performance is equal to Freud without the cost. Material I use it in is oak, walnut, maple. Compatible with 1/4 inch shank routers. Up cut leaves a smooth surface at the bottom of the cut. Extremely accurate.

Good quality bit. I am typically cutting hardwoods and often epoxy which is tough on bits. These last quite well and a nice alternative to the expensive Specktra bits I was using as I go through quite a few. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price has gone up from mid $30s to almost $50.

First use was a great result. Working on a template guide platform. The bit sliced through white oak without fail. White oaks hardness is around 1350 on the janka scale. Using a 1/32 diameter bit on this lumber was a flip of the coin. But, it survived without any issues.

The shaft snapped off on the first project after maybe 4 linear feet of routing. I've routed thousands of feet of material and know my way around routing as to not abuse my equipment. This bit simply lacks quality. No more SpeTool products for me.
