I was able to install this rack after using my own hardware. See my images. Two out of the six books broke while putting them into pre-piloted holes in pine. I had to carefully ratchet the remaining bonds so as to not let an impact driver twist then in half. They did not break from over-tightening, they broke right away while going in easy. The actual tracks themselves seemed pretty cheap. Under ideal conditions, they probably hold the specified weight. But you can easily been the rack metal with your hands.     • Quality rack just wish it were longer

I got this to be both an outdoor lumber rack and to use to hang some ladders. This is a quality rack with two posts and 6 arms or 3 racks to hold a good amount of different size pieces of lumber. It was easy enough to install with some long thick hex screws (13 mm), and the racks go on with nuts (10 mm), 3m (the company) nylon washers, and bolts. You will need a ratcheting device and a phillips head to install these solid sturdy parts. The unit is powder coated. I had two problems with this unit I wish the posts were a lot longer to accommodate more things between the racks like multiple racks of ladders. This would also allow the racks which are on a pivot arm to be able to fold up to accommodate racks with thick material like 8x8s or even multiple vertical rows of 4x4s. However I could get 3 ladder on the bottom rack and a healthy amount of various 2 by stock stacked 3 high on the other racks. And you can hang them knowing that if you got the posts in structure that the racks can handle the weight. I like this rack, if it was a longer vertically to accommodate the folding arms and allow for more storage versatility, I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

My husband is happy with this set of lumber racks. He installed them in his shed to hold lumber (he does wood working). They were a good size for a utility shed and seem to hold what he needs. Easy and quick to install also. Just as pictured and described on amazon.

The media could not be loaded. Great for storing and organizing lumber and other long hard to store items. Right now all my lumber and long items are either laying on the floor or leaned up against a corner in my garage. It makes the garage look cluttered and warped my boards. Looking forward to getting this up and organizing my garage. It’s made some really good sturdy metal And should hold everything I have to throw at it. L O L. ... show more

    • Fits a need
When I had moved into may house the previous homeowner had wooden supports holding up A TON of lumber. Everything from extra floor molding, 2x4, extra siding. Over the years I kind of grabbed things I needed as is but never really went through it. Getting a new lumber rack was the perfect time to. It was really easy to install after reading the instructions and everything was there. I assume the spacing is a personal preference. I though it could have had more room between each level but I was able to stick my ladder on the lower rung, sensitive stuff in the middle shelf (molding, pex, siding) and everything else on top. It is holding up really well and def more organized that the pieces of wood that was holding everything previously (plus a ladder). I'm guessing you can double up on this to have more levels and not overweight each shelf but I'm content on this as is. I do have a ton of stuff in my rafters that I'm thinking can now use their own shelf.... ... show more

These are simple and sturdy. They perform exactly as expected and are easy to install. I've rigged up various different solutions like this to get some of my longer scraps/trim out of the way and just never came up with anything I quite liked. This was super easy to install in our pole barn. We used it to get lumber up off of the ground. It only took a few minutes to pop it up onto the wall and put the lumber onto the shelves. Highly recommend
